United Global seems quite consistent, jus nw randomly click on global funds

United both quality and durable.
Nomura high conviction is not bad too.
Titans is doing ok.

*** BTW, those who seek for new bond fund and rasa was was with Nomura. I found another gems. Ambond and AmbondIslam.

Their return are comparable to Nomura in 3M to 2Y duration.

Assets allocation are almost the same for Islamic portfolio.

made a quick and simple data compilation on some FI funds...

b'cos of the high YTD rois....looks likely they have almost reached their peak for this year....
some had already surpassed their historical yearly ROIs...

not much upside potential already?? biggrin.gif

for asset preservation ...YES.....

Trade war sentiments still around.
Klci cont flat or even downturn
Foreign dumping local bond

Uptrend yes.

9% 1 yr possible. Infact Nomura already 5+ half year to go.
Foresee Sept may drop. But this few months as buffer I personally dont think will affect much as bond are highly as favourite for moderate conservative investors.

Yah! Yah! I concur.

Bond UTF should not be used to seek upside potential but rather as a portfolio stabilizer. Your main engine of growth should be equity fund.

When market is volatile like now, bond utf looks like darling in comparison to equities.

But when market is on a bull run, equities utf will move like rocket and leave bond utf behind by a far far behind.

I remember before Trump came into the picture, when Obama was in power, I had TA Tech utf giving me consistent double digit compounded growth for a few years in a row. Those were good times.

Market will remain the same pace till 2H2020 IMO.

So yea. Those who don't want see the number possibly rocketing up and down as what we see since last October.

I would recond all in bond. A few to be exact Some bond are high risk too.

I break up my saving and invest it within 6 months period, when i buy it is almost at the peak and before all this drama started. Just a few fund give positive, overall my return still red. Since 1 year ago i stop DCA and only buy when price drop.

Worst performing fund is AH Quantum -19%, AH Japan growth -10%, Kenanga -12%, these 3 fund i'm only holding and stopped DCA. I also have CIMB dynamic and GC. I also tried managed PF which perform even worst then DIY.

Sad for your money, diversification is good to manage risk, but sometimes world events may affect your holdings, and fund managers invest according to the fund mandate, well alot might says don't time the market, but don't completely ignore what is happening around you, happy investing

Because fund managers are tied to mandate lah that start to made me question the wisdom to maintain a set fund diversification regardless of market sentiment.

Anyway.

It's not too late yet to noticed the danger side of UT hahhaha.

As per FSM, it's the banker fault who accidentally miss out my payment and I seriously doubt it. For whatever reason, it's their responsibility to make sure all payments go through on the settlement date.

I got back the funds yesterday after 6pm.
*
This is dangerous.

We used to rely on the system and we completely forget it of its a small amount .

I used to not believe those system but I tried it out it turn to be reliable.

Then cases and cases of money gone make me think that it's not the reliable after all.

By the way, regardless of how poor a fund perform (even when it is below the benchmark), the fund manager would always say "seeing this is a long term investment, we believe our fund is performing well".

Has anyone seen a fund manager opening say "oh, we are not performing well"? Haha. Regardless of the negative returns etc, the sales agents are going to quote the same Annual Report and say they are "performing well".. Of course some public will feel cheated.
*
That's why invest in UT also need some knowledge. Not give money and give FM do all shit. Because some FM really eat shit. Look at the funds out there. Even in FSM, not every fund perform. We must look into it and cherry pick the funds.

As investors mist clearly know what we are invested in.

No its not ok.

If the money it's not in on that day I check with them, I would have lodge the complaint to SC for their mistakes.

There are dealing with people hard earn money and what if it takes longer than expected to recover back the funds.

In hindsight is easy for you to say such thing.
*
Since your case is still new.
I think you should file it to SC.

I almost done it last time when selling my managed port took longer than 15 business day while in the list the longest redemption time should be T+10 if not mistaken.

The fund return in time on the day I wish to make a call to FSM.

I had this concern too....
I remembered, in 2015, I too was enticed by the above normal returns of past years performances of RHB bond and Islamic bond funds at that time.
bought into it in May 2015

few months later had a chance to meet up with the CFO of Affinhwang at a dinner function....showed him the RHB data...
he looked and said..."well, some of the bond issuers & rating listed in the fund fact sheet,....Hwang would never hold it"

i sold off losing 1% redemption fees,...and the RHB funds continued to gives above average returns for a few more years..... vmad.gif  ranting.gif  bangwall.gif
