On the FBM KLCI’s performance this year, Chia noted that big-cap stocks have not been doing so well, mainly because there have been very little earnings growth to offer, have expensive valuations and are expose to regulatory risks.
“Earnings growth is almost zero for this year and there are downside risks to earnings in the coming quarters,” he said.

Malaysia’s stock market also remains less attractive from a valuation and earnings growth standpoint compared with other regional markets, he added.
Chia warned that there is a possibility that the stocks under RHB’s coverage would chart negative growth this year.

In my port, I am now holding only three UTFs.

My last crystal ball algozen™ ver four reading was at Q4Y2018 and only plan to review end of Q2Y2019. Forcing myself not to do too much switching, wanna keep my PTR low. Nanti ada orang merajuk pulak pasal PTR tinggi

p/s 12 mths preceeding return has turned positive with the inflexion point seen in Mar 2019. Hopefully the ghastly ghost of 2018 begone and do not come back.

Still holding it albeit via the KWSP - MIS side.

I will probably switch out of it if it is underperforming once I do a review at the end of Q2Y2019.

IMHO, not low enough neh. it's like pin-pricked finger je now. i need the market to lose a limb or more (-15% or more like Oct-Dec 2018)

to some people, it is better to do periodic investment like DCA...as DCA had been said to take the emotion factor out of the investment.

last year some forummers had been shouting about timing the markets, wait for it come down to -20% or -40%.....but as shown, at times when the buying target arrives......they are still hesitate and wanted to continue to wait.....
when wanted something one will give reasons, when one does not want something one will gives excuses....both are always right.
no right or wrong...it is their posts and their money.

the current best time was for those that are "forced" to buy due to tax relief purposes.......those that bought PRS in DEC 2018 + tax break %....huat abit lah....
but will DEC always be the "BEST" time?

It's a blood bath today.

The three main indices in the US, namely the Dow, S&P500 and the Nasdaq have been down and down the last many days. The futures turned green for awhile,... then tipped over back to red again !

Not all countries have stopped connection with Huawei,.. till now, ONly Australia has formally declared to be so. I heard The UK is planning too,... but no formal ann't yet,.. unless you have heard something....

Fyi,... last night,.. Tariff man added ZTE to the blacklist. Anymore co's to add ?
