QUOTE(toiletking2006 @ Mar 19 2019, 09:58 AM) They like to rebalance their fund constantly. Approx 1-2 months once. Exactly. Precisely. Sometimes u might miss the rally because of their constant switching. Or switch out of their newly added fund 1 month after holding... Seems like newbie doing investment to me. And it is totally opposite of what is preach in their article. Which is avoiding frequent rebalance I was so fed up with this last year. Switching right and left in the volatile period is just hahah |

QUOTE(vckc @ Mar 22 2019, 10:47 AM) No one can tell or predict the future.. The bull run may last for another 5 years or it can all collapse suddenly tomorrow. Still finding high and low for the possible trigger for FC.The economy is still strong. The only catalyst I can see is the student loan bubble in the USA which is something that will play out in the long term. If anyone can pinpoint any potential catalyst for the next FC pray tell. That way we can pull out. The key is to stay in the game and average down with bigger amount when the next Financial Crisis hits. Thats my 2 cents. Only thing I can think of I still the deal and brexit. Nothing much. Props bubbles will not happen again. Similar to previous trigger will not repeat. Maybe prolong downturn. Or US election. |

QUOTE(killdavid @ Mar 22 2019, 11:35 AM) That's what I understand too, but after calling the support hotline, it seems like a system limitation. You will not be able to fully redeem your holdings when rebalancing is taking place. Part of your funds are in transition. Yes. If you choose to fully redemption. It will most likely takes up to 1 month for the entire process. Leftover amount will be credited to your cash account. But yes. The numbers are all confusing. |

QUOTE(yklooi @ Mar 23 2019, 02:53 PM) FSM Managed Portfolio.... I withdraw on OCT 2018i happened to met FSM people just now..... they mentioned that they did not switch funds in their Managed portfolio so frequently as mentioned by you guys....(she said maybe every 3 or 4 months once due to last year's very volatilile trends) i am sure you guys did keep a monthly track records of your funds listing very month. could you guys please show me some data to rebut her claims that it is not true that the fund listing changed very month. btw,...CIMB Asset mgmt people said.... they could not see any sign of a recession in the coming 18 mths..... China bond mkts will get a big boost next 1~2 months, Greater China region & emerging markets would performed better than the rest of the world this year be prepared for the reality of slower growth for the next few years. have some bond funds in the portfolio I comment based on my memories. Not sure when I started. But I did hold up to 6 months before I got fed up. Heck even SA never switch it's portion in last November Dec Jan. Some of the fund they switching around are Templeton global Europe Nikko am United equity Kaf tactical despite having KGF Eu gs bond. Above mentioned are remembered because most of it doesn't even hold up to 3 months. And they just bushing around in that time frame. And they did reduce GC and AAXJ to make way for EU and US. EU drop. US flat that time. US wasn't much so no impact. But EU yes. That's what I remember. Some may off a bit. Add on : My though on managed port. Suitable for those are still learning to play around with UT. If you know how much you wish to put in 1 region. I suggest you don't buy. They spread too much. They are trying to ride on rally too. If drop also same with out DIY port. But their Islamic port is worth to watch. Because their fund are quite OK and perform better compare to non Islamic. Only 1 fund I don't quote like is Dinasti. Others are ok This post has been edited by [Ancient]-XinG-: Mar 23 2019, 03:56 PM |

QUOTE(ChessRook @ Mar 24 2019, 11:13 AM) am dynamic bond fund. I don't have access to my pc right now but from memory it is 6%+ in 2018. the nomura i income is better but available to sophisticated investors only unless you want to take the risk. IIRC it is about 6.5-7%, i think Nope. Dynamic bond not good because it have redemption fees of 1%. |
