wow ...while waiting for sifu's input just my 2 cents
If your target is to have a moderate to a balanced portfolio, its always good to have some bonds  to weather risk off times.
All funds . sectors and regions go through cycles...we invest, not trade unit trust.

Not sure about you but as for me, using ARSTF as my proxy for FI exposure, I will hold on to it because the 3 Yr avr return = 8.29% pa., whereas the risk aka 3 yr Vol / Std-Dev  = 2.94% p.a. The Potential Return I get out-weighs the risk, hence I will still maintain my exposure to this investment tool. When you apply more mathematical logic to it, your mind becomes less clouded and decision making more straight - forward.

valid point, thanks for sharing.
what do you do with FI that is under performing (red), i.e. opus ipf, switch them over ARSTF ?

wholesales fund only for sophisticated investor.... brows.gif  brows.gif  brows.gif

why dun just 200 into msia, 200 into tech n 100 into RHB CMF2 (stand by purpose if the tech fund dip, can everage down it)?

or if u got unlimited credit , just top into bond fund at the same fundhouse with ur tech fund to fully utilise credit to offset the sales charge.

opinion only, up to 2... icon_idea.gif

bond fund at the same fundhouse with ur tech fund to fully utilise credit to offset the sales charge > > > meaning no sales charge involves if we switch from bond to equity fund ?

Hi, just wandering
1) Principal Greater china, as per today 55% gain
- meaning lump sum 10k at the beginning Jan2020, end of dec2020/jan2021, gain 55% = rm5500 ?

Data below From FSM, how do we interpret these values as compared to your gain 55% ?
2020 36.08% + YTD 13.96% = 50.04% ?
Cumulative Performance
1W 5.79%
1M 16.91%
3M 22.23%
6M 29.66%
YTD 13.96%
1Y 49.59%

Calendar Year Returns
2020 36.08%
2019 22.62%

Thanks, appreciate your opinion.

Picked TA exactly for that, except that i don't like their holding on FB, and but better than United (which holds hyped like Slack etc.)

just wandering why except FB?

would like to ask, is this merger good or bad ?

Cessation of Sales and Redemptions – Precious Metals Securities (the “Fund”)
DWS Investments Singapore Limited, the Singapore representative of DWS Noor Precious Metals
Securities Fund, a sub-fund of DWS Noor Islamic Funds plc (the “Target Fund”) informed us on 3
March 2021 on the proposal to merge the Target Fund with DWS Noor Precious Metals Securities
Fund, a sub-fund of DWS Invest (IE) ICAV (the “Receiving Target Fund”) via extraordinary general
meeting to be held on 25 March 2021 (“EGM”).
If the merger is approved at this EGM, the Target Fund will be suspended from 21 May 2021 until
28 May 2021.

Same, I accidentally entered at ATH so I was down to -15% at some point, 1 more round of averaging down and some gains later I am up to -9% - looks good to me.

If it drops more than 10% again I'm just gonna buy more  tongue.gif

I topped up ES dinasti more than 5 times between end feb and mid March and I won’t top up anymore before Q3 unless there are another round of big drop on China related fund.
For me your portfolio is too heavy on Greater China. Whether to average down or not actually should based on your holding power I think. Just my personal view I would think top up US tech fund better at this moment.
*
understand you have topped up several times but why not keep on dca, is it because of greater china too heavy in your port or due to other reason ?

I might be wrong but amincome plus is focussed on short to medium term bonds which has lower risk than longer bond funds. Thus, the performance is above MMF rate in general. I have also look at its fund fact sheet and amincome has well diversified bonds. Amanahraya trust fund not completely fixed income. But looking at its performance over 10 years, this fund has good preservation of value.

Anyway i invested in both. 2nd level emergency fund in amincome and extra cash  in amanahraya trust account.
*
both funds encompass bonds, short medium term bond is less volatile compare to longer term bond eh
good that you have both, planning to switch some from ARTF to AmIncome plus
