Can I confirm again the process?
1. select fund, check out
2. select pay with FPX
3. enter OTP
4. separately login to maybank2u
5. select iFast Capital Sdn Bhd

Last time when we pay with FPX, the internet portal will automatically pop up, right?
*
Yes.
You need to disable your pop up blocker.
Can't really remember if now all are within the same main browser or a pop up will appear.

Step 5 no need to select.
Everything is automatic filled.

CMF is RHB managed money market fund.

Cash Account is
QUOTE
"Cash Account" is an online cash management service offered by FSMOne which facilitates the online transactions of unit trust funds.

Currently, we offer four different currency Cash Accounts - MYR, AUD, SGD and USD in our platform. As long as you have an investment account with FSMOne, this account will automatically be enabled for you.

Read Chapter 21 about Cash Account in FAQ:
https://www.fundsupermart.com.my/fsmone/funds/faq-funds

The interest rate is quite low for Cash Account:

The net interest rate for the Cash Account in MYR is 2.60% (base interest rate of 3.10% - 0.5%). The 0.5% represents FSMOne and bank’s admin fees, which are at 0.25% per annum respectively. Currently, there is no interest earn for Cash Account in AUD, SGD and USD.

Wondering FSM objective for setting this Cash Account
*
Some people could be complaining that selling proceed into CMF takes longer TAT.
This Cash Account to shorten the period.

Just my guess.

QUOTE
1. Cut down on transaction time when you buy and sell mutual funds via the Cash Account;
2. No minimum balance is required and there is no lock-in period;
3. No monthly charge;
4. View your balance online anytime;
5. Deposit and withdraw money anytime; and
6. Earn higher interest rates

FSMOne consolidates the monies deposited by all investors in the cash account and deposits it with a licensed bank in Malaysia. As long as there are sufficient funds in your Cash Account, the funds can be used to pay for your unit trust purchases immediately.

They're not holding the money themselves.
They're just agent.

but nowadays selling CMF take shorter period of day dy 2 days received. Cash Account is instantly maybe.
*
CMF still takes time because it's still a fund managed by RHB.
You need execute the sell order and fund managers need to buy the units back.

Cash Account is just like e-wallet.
When you cash out, you will get the money within the working day itself (if before 3pm) as stated in FAQ.

for now i can see that it is showing 2.6% under cash account
where as CMF by RHB is currently at 3.57%

i am parking my cash in CMF and doing DCA regularly. so far buy and sell will transact on the same day jus that u need to have patience for the updates.
*
Yesterday night I logged in, I saw 2.5% if I'm not mistaken.
Both items are not my favourite parking place due to lead time concern.

newbie here still trying to learn as i jus started investment with FSM

I'll transfer money if I want to buy or topup.
Money is always parking in 1-month rolling FD.
These pool of money are meant for fast liquidation in case of emergency.

This strategy might not suitable for you.

Found a nice article in Yahoo! Finance

Saving is not the key to building wealth—here's what is, says author of 'I Will Teach You to Be Rich'

The typical millennial has about $2,400 socked away in a savings account. But personal finance advisor Ramit Sethi says having savings is not the key to building wealth.

"One of the most surprising things that people don't realize about money is saving is not enough," Sethi, the best-selling author of "I Will Teach You to be Rich," tells CNBC Make It.

If not knowledgeable in investments like stock and etc,
There’s really no other options

EPF is not really defined as saving.
It's retirement purpose.

Put it as long term saving with restriction in withdrawal.
It's not as flexible and liquid as normal saving for rainy days.

FSM Fund Choice: CIMB-Principal Greater China Equity Fund [March 2019]

Conclusion
To sum it up, we think CIMB-Principal Greater China Equity Fund offers investors a decent avenue to tap into the growth opportunities residing in the second largest economy in the world. A sound investment management team, stringent risk management structure and a resilient performance history are some of the good traits investors should seek for when it comes to fund assessment.

To sweeten the deal for investors that are looking to invest in the fund, we are running a 0.5% sales charge special discount now alongside with our Asia ex-Japan promotion campaign. For investors who are planning to ride along with our overweight call in Asia, you may also view our choice of funds here.
