Not sure about epf form, but in general, in this era of fintech, everything needs to speed up, or provide digital convenience, even buy sell switch can be few days atm, is really frustrating to wait

I break up my saving and invest it within 6 months period, when i buy it is almost at the peak and before all this drama started. Just a few fund give positive, overall my return still red. Since 1 year ago i stop DCA and only buy when price drop.

Worst performing fund is AH Quantum -19%, AH Japan growth -10%, Kenanga -12%, these 3 fund i'm only holding and stopped DCA. I also have CIMB dynamic and GC. I also tried managed PF which perform even worst then DIY.

Sad for your money, diversification is good to manage risk, but sometimes world events may affect your holdings, and fund managers invest according to the fund mandate, well alot might says don't time the market, but don't completely ignore what is happening around you, happy investing

Because fund managers are tied to mandate lah that start to made me question the wisdom to maintain a set fund diversification regardless of market sentiment.

Yala, the seniors here would know, and they don't hold all the funds

then again has to factor in the probability of having Trump as the PoA?
anyone heard of the probability of trade war before that in the last 15 yrs?
anyone heard of the probability of M'sia change ruling parties in the last 30 yrs?

Contemplating to go back into US market or not. What u all think?
*
Imo, US got potential but risky at the same time, if Judy was the fed chairman, if the rate gonna be cut, if the employment rate consistently stays healthy(refer June), US will do fine at least till reelection. At the moment, US is good, my opinion is based on my current exposure in US market. Tip: not via funds xD

Basically below this. The important sentence is "already price in".
Most of the market now are trading higher then it should. They are anticipate things which yet to materialize.
Set a price to yourself, when to let go and no regrets.
*
They(whoever related) should update the factsheet more frequent, very very tough to see beyond priced in

nothing to condemn...
white lighter seems to me is "only" holding TAGTF....now he is asking whether to go into US more.....
i am highlighting the potential risk of going heavy sailang in US .......
*
I wouldn't go into tech sector, basically trade war has not ended, although in a truce atm, plus latest feud between Japan and South Korea, imo, the effect is otw, the feud is recent, don't tell me is priced in xD

I have abt 15% of it in my port.
my thinking is...as long as not sailing into 1 or 2 funds in a port...then should be ok for me.
have some meat, veg, fruits and carbo for a healthier meal

Yes, having a balanced diet is the way for a healthy life, in general, how about athletes? They may need a different diet for their activities, no right or wrong, understand yourself and eat accordingly 👍

Before that there was an expectation that the rate cut will not happen.(July 5th). Then REIT started to fall on the following monday.

https://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-jobs...0705-story.html

I don't know what is the story now. But if the rates do get cut , then REIT counters will go up again.
*
Rates up/down is not the only thing that affect REITs, basically it could be anthing that affect the land value, eg. Protesters

Looking at this data on Reits funds

i think there were expectation of 3~4 FED rate hikes in 2018
when is the "hints" about FED rate cuts emerges?...in which month of 2019

looking at it...i think these Reits funds are "more in" but not fully following the correlations of most Asia Pac EQ funds.
*
Well, is not certain that lower rates will push up land values, lower rate only means lower borrowing cost, there are other dots that need to be connected 👍
