sometimes it is not just how many funds, it is about risk allocation by sector/region as well.
your risk allocation by region is 90% at Asia Pacific, the 10% Bond is mostly on Asia Pacific as well.
I won't judge that it is not approciate, as long you are fine with it.

For me, i hold Max 5 funds.
and i make sure it is not overweight in certain sector/region, focusing on equity as i am young to take the risk.

down to road i might switch the strategy to put more onto REITS etc, when my risk appettide reduced.

in my opinion there is no problem in investing in high number of fund. But....

its not jst as simple as that.

to me the ability to average down a position is important. let say u have 25 funds n u have only 1k a month ability to average down a position.

this means if the fund min top up is rm100, u only have ability to average 10 of 25 funds, once every month. if this is the case, 25 funds is way to much for u. for me ideally if this is the limit of my ability, i will reduce the number of fund to less than 10. ideally keep around 5 is best.

for me, i prefer FSM over eMutual Funds from Philip mutuals, even if FSM charges me 0.5% - 1.5% one-off bcoz:
1. website usability & usefulness
2. customer service & response
3. shares & world ETFs available too - all in one, ease. now if only they allow foreign stocks too heheh then maybe bye bye HLiB / HLeB.

that's just personal preferences - i dont like painful websites & phone apps 

If i think the markets are volatile n are ripe for correction soon, I would exit the markets to protect my assets.
Reenter once the storms are over,.
No buying Spdr or vdo etfs or global Titan funds... Before the storms cometh
