I jz got myself 2 roborovski yesterday at Sunway.  The guy doens't seem to be sure on determining the sexes.  How can i determine their sexes??

        I jz noticed that my syrian's nose got a bit of pus.  I'm not sure when did he injured himself and i've not seen any injuries.  One nose hole blocked with pus .. HOW????             

i got few hamster ( RC type)that died recently i wondering is the food causing problem?
the hamster seems be less active before it died ( 1 among it ) , for other still ok , but just no idea why they died their age almost 1 year ,
does the food quality matters ?? if yes , any recommended?

My hamster just died 25 mins ago. Already buried >.<
Dunno what happened. Was ok while it was in the car, when i driving back. But when i reached home, i put her in the room, and half hour later, she started acting strange.
To think of it, in car also abit strange already. Instead of the usual, silent and sleeping mode in car, she moving around, digging the beddings.
Anyway back to the room, when i discovered her, she doesnt want to eat her favourite treats. Another 5 minutes later, she slump flat on cage, not moving, just staring ahead, but breathing heavily.
45 mins later, dead . What could it be? Heat stroke? Heart attack? She is quite plump for a dwarf, cause she eats alot T.T

Yes, loud noise can disturb a hamster.... they are quiet animals s they do prefer minimal noise... blasting the speaker would make it stressed and unhappy later. This goes for many animals actually...

MY syrian is found dead in his cage!!!! I went to class whole day and now i came back and found him dead!!! WHY??? What's the reason wor ??      He couldn't be dying from old age coz he's not even 1 year old!!! And remember I told u guys my syrian has been very skinny lately and how I asked for advice to make him chubby??  Why did he die ??? He eats like normal and sleeps like normal.  He plays with me like normal as well.  Just that his motion slowed down a bit and he became skinny.  But why ??? Can anyone tell me ?              I jz played with him last nite and he was like his usual self.  I don't see any sickness symptoms or pain from him except that he's thinner than before.  WHY???       

I just drop a few crickets into the cage or tank.... my Syrians straight away catch. My WW also... some of my campbells like me to feed them by hand. My rats chase crickets like crazy.... of course cricket lifespan shorter la but it is worth it to give something good to the hamsters.

ei , juz  want to mention something here...coz somehow ,i am feelng of telling..(mengada -ade)
erm , if u wanna play with hamsters , let them run in a ball or come put play with u ( squezze them around , patting them ) , it is better dont let it exceed to 45 mins ..some how , it may stress ur lil hamham ....u will c they breath faster , body hothot , or juz standing there edi not moving ...
so , the most 30 mins ...let them go inside cage , rest a bit ... eat n drink ..
ok ..hammie ball hor ,   dun put ur hammie whole day inside ar!!! haha , some will do like tat~ is a exercise stuff ,
so ,  better to have a timing on it ~ 15-20 min a day is enuff to keep ur hammi healthy n happi n stress free!
juz my opinion n lil expenrince here la ,..hehhe...

hahaha .. true true ..my niece wanna spend alot for the hamster playthings. so i just let her la. never want to listen to uncle ..

btw, this is my first time with WW. i did breed Syrian 7 years ago. but it seem i already forgot a lot of things about hamsters. old alreadyy .. wahkakaka...

this is my DIY cage. it is still under constuction. only the penthouse and 3rd floor have floor for the bedding. didn't have time to make another two. so since it's a DIY and with my lousy Kemahiran Hidup skills, it's not perfect, it doesn't look good but good enough to keep the WW inside. and running in the wheel all morning ( 1am till now). i can hear the wheel spin ..

babymiki-> they wont eat the tissues but they will stuff it inside their pouch and move it to their nest where they rest and slp.

u didn't separate them that's why loh... next time plan before breeding, and when u breed, do it systematicly... but if u have no plan to breed, separate the male and female groups... juz my 2 cents...

Yes BlueHeng, that is ok. Hamsters can eat science plan dog kibble. They can also take Royal Canin too.

ya busy.. till now HAVEN buy a new cage... hais. sad.
worst of all ... so long time liao and yet none of them had change to winter coat.. HAHA.. i guess its becoz i haven bought them a solid house.

Waa.... So many kibbles.... I find it not such a good idea to mix oily kibble like RC into hamster mixes because it is moist and can cause the mix to spoil because the mix should be kept dry. Tried before and the mix smelled very weird after a short period of time.
