Was looking around for info on how to get waze to run on smartlink once handbrake down.
Found an older post in v1 that made waze work for me without a hardware bypass. Maybe we can put this under Useful Information?

It worked for a while for me. Then instead of force close, I uninstall the easyconnected server then it works flawlessly. Maybe you can try that and see if it works for you.

Yeah, when usb connected to phone, force uninstall easyconnected server then put handbrake down then kill drive mode app then try running waze or some other app. The waze should stay on the screen now.

If I add another layer of tint film, the warranty considered as void? Just wanted to add a small tint only at windscreen to block the sun....
