it started when the laptop hung ... nothing can be done except for restarting the whole machine.
when trying to restart (normally you'll get acer screen during bios initialisation) it will show blank screen ... nothing there .. not even the cursor blinking in the top left corner..
try restarting few times on off the main power still remain the same... after 6-7 tries... the machine starts to boot up again normally with the acer screen in bios... logged into windows normally .. when i tried to startup WoW ... it hung again.. n this time much more intresting ..
the screen which hanged... starting to show burning signs around the top and right layer of the screen.. the burn mark gets darker and darker.. so before anything gets worst .. i turn off the machine again...
try restarting 5-6 times .. and the laptop boots again..
now ..my questions. what is going wrong wit my laptop sad.gif
the warrranty period is over .. i nid to get a reliable repair shop to fix this at a affordable price.. any recommendations ?

i have the same problem too acer tm4102, i was watchin movie then the screen got blank so i restart the laptop
n the screen is blank too...
what is the problem???
The percentage problem is high usually caused by LCD Screen. In most case, Lcd spoilt that resulted all this problem.
That is a way to check .You link to a normal monitor /PC Monitor(Lcd), use Function (Fn) + (F2/F3/f4, either 1) ,see whether the display appear on both screen. If not ,then for sure the LCD is spoilt liao.
Note : And use control panel-device manager-display setting for LCD setting)

ACER problems mostly caused by 2 components. That is either
(1) LCD spoilt or
(2) Motherboard (That usually caused no display/hanged/restart)
Price of ACER is cheap since it is now mass production in low costs labour country-CHINA.
They tend not focus on spare-parts because of the laptop getting cheaper and cheaper.
