Ladies and gentlemen, boys & girls.

After much prodding and pleading with my contact, I've finally managed to obtain the URL for the said online portal. However I would like to request that the link IS NOT placed on the first post.

My contact said that the portal is in beta mode so that's why I'm asking for the TS to refrain from putting it on the first post/FAQ until ASNB officially launches the portal.

Despite being in beta mode, transactions are honored.

So here you go and enjoy

Obviously, the IP Address of many users using the myASNB Portal does not originate from PNB office. Now, ASNB does not mind outsiders (not their staff) from using the online portal, right? hmm.gif

Thanks for your confirmation. rclxm9.gif So, we can update our passbook in any PNB branch, or in agent bank, after performing online top-up.

But then, the agent bank teller, who updates your passbook may ask: "when you performed top-up, why didn't you update the passbook?".

Can we tell them that we top-up via online ASNB portal?

Thanks for the tips. Most of us will have multiple transactions of RM 100 deposit in our ASNB. brows.gif

If we top up ASNB in ASNB office or agent book, definitely the passbook is updated on the spot. But, this fact is not applicable, if we perform online top-up.

For the online portal, the minimum top up amount is RM 100.00.

Can I key in amounts such as RM 120.00, or RM 130.56, assuming that there are available units?

Thanks. It is safer for me to key in RM 120.00 or RM 145.00, than RM 109.34. smile.gif

Is there anyone who knows that the date on which ASM will be closed for transactions (for the dividend calculation), meaning that we cannot top-up into ASM?

___

Did anyone manage to get ASM?

Thanks for the tips. That means that we keep on trying to top-up into ASM via online portal until 26 March 2017, even though it is extremely hard to top-up into ASM, as everyone is waiting for the dividend.

120 okay.. 145 doubt can.. Why not make it 150 laugh.gif

QUOTE(twinkle5129 @ Mar 5 2017, 05:54 PM)
It's possible for $145, as long as units available.  I'd managed to lock in 997 as I only need that odd figure to 'tidy' my balance.

Thanks for confirming. thumbup.gif

ASNB interest is accrued daily, but is calculated monthly. In other words, it is best that your current balance of each fund (ASW, ASM, AS1M) is divisible by 12, so that the dividend loss due to rounding can be minimized. It is extremely to get a whole number divisible by 12 (as it has decimals), but let's try our best. smile.gif

Decided to try 1 big hit for ASM- 10k and it was successful and decided to accept it.

Well done! thumbup.gif I think you have achieved the top score for the highest amount of online top-up, more so for a hard-to-get fund for which the dividend will be credited end of this month.

During the suspension of ASM transactions from 23 March to 2 April 2017, can we still update ASM passbook at PNB office, or any agent bank?

Thanks, nexona88.

During updating the passbook, we are asking the bank officer to print the transaction history on our passbook. So, we are not really changing our final amount of ASM units at all. Why isn't updating the passbook allowed? hmm.gif

Oh well, I can only update the ASM passbook after 2 April 2017.

I went to CIMB Bank to update my ASW passbook.

1) The bank officer faced problems in printing transaction history on my passbook.

Problems:
- could not print all of the transactions.
- intended to print the details on Line 1 on the passbook, but the printer printed the details from Line 5 onwards.

So, the bank officer printed the transaction history on a piece of A4 paper, and then stapled the paper inside my passbook.

Does PNB acknowledge such printing method, as a legitimate way of updating the passbook? The final balance of my ASW printed on that paper is correct and same as what is shown in online ASNB portal.

2) The bank officer claimed that the transaction history can be printed once. rclxub.gif When the bank officer tried to reprint the details, there was nothing to be reprinted. After all, I told the bank officer to print the details on other blank pages of the passbook, since I do not mind wasting the pages in the passbook.

Was the bank officer bluffing, or telling the truth?

Thanks for the information.

1) So, with printing with paper, writing the final balance and stamp on passbook, we can consider that our passbook are legitimately updated, right?

2} Why does PNB restrict the printing to be just once? If the printer at an agent bank is faulty after one unsuccessful printing attempt, we will not be able to have transactions to be printed on our passbook.

For sure, agent bank will not put much effort in fixing this problem, a transactions for ASNB fixed price funds are not very profitable for agent banks.

Stop for a while as recently bought too much ASM. But did buy some other more high risk UT from bank.  biggrin.gif

Sorry, off topic a bit.

Can you name some high risk UTs you bought?

The general advice is avoid all UTs bought from Public Mutual and banks (as the profit is significantly decreased by the service charge), and instead go for UTs bought from FundSuperMart.

Judging from your tone, you must be very confident that even after deducting the service charge, your net gain should be more than FD interest and ASNB dividend.

Thanks for your tips. thumbup.gif

It is now middle of April. When will the ASM eStatement ending 31 March 2017 (PDF file) be available for us to download in MyASNB portal?

I can download the ASM eStatement ending 31 March 2016. sad.gif

____

It would be better, if we can download eStatement (PDF file), showing the transaction history of each ASNB fund. That way, we will have the electronic version of our passbook.

Yeah, it is just a wishful thinking. Perhaps, I should not be greedy.

I was asking whether other account holders can download the eStatement or not. No worries, I will just wait.

Suggestion

1) MyASNB portal should be able to generate eStatement that shows transaction history, showing date and amount of transactions (similar to what is printed in passbook). The current annual eStatement shows only the final balance, which is insuffcient.

Questions
1) After 28 June 2017, can we insist to have our passbook updated? It feel safer to have the record in black and white.

2) If I notify ASNB by 31 March 2018 that I still want to receive hardcopy of ASNB statements by post, can I get statements also through electronic means?

As we all know, ASNB passbook contains the details of transaction history, such as date of the transactions, amount of the transactions, and most importantly the resulting balance of our ASNB account.

So, after 28 June 2017, what can replace ASNB passbook, in reporting the resulting balance of our ASNB account and the list of the transactions?

The receipt given on the counter after 28 June 2017 wil only show the detail of that particular transaction.

Can you ask your insider source, whether the myASNB portal will be able to generate PDF file of transaction history (somewhat similar to the passbook), after 28 June 2017?

Thanks for your confirmation.

I was told that you can request for the teller to print your most recent transaction history. The portal would have a transaction detail history statement thingy when it's made officially available to the public  brows.gif

Now, at any PNB office, we cannot update our passbook, as ASNB starts to implement passbookless transactions.

Anyway, did anyone try to update their passbook at any agent bank today? Can it still be done, or do we get turned away?

Perhaps, the bank officers are not aware of PNB's latest rulling, and as such, we can try our luck.

Yesterday, there was an option to download detailed transaction statement. rclxms.gif But, upon selecting it, the website jumped to main login page. sad.gif Now, this option is no longer available.

Anyway, it is still a step in the right direction. I just have to be patient, for PNB to stabilize the statement function of the website.
