Ok, you are a Ikanbilis who just bought RM 10000 in ASW, and has another SGD 10000 in a DBS saving account.

If you are a Ikanbilis, then average Joes like me are just microorganisms.

Alright. just joking. No hard feeling, ok? smile.gif

Referring to the article:

Total investment amount held by ASW unit holders = RM 18.8 billion

Total dividend given by ASNB = RM 18.8 billion x 6 % = RM 1.128 billion (as stated in the article)

Gross profit made by ASW = RM 1.38 billion (as stated in the article)

Percentage of the profit for ASW = (RM 1.38 billion / RM 18.8 billion) x 100 % = 7.34 %

If ASNB is indeed very generous, ASNB could have given us 6.5%, since they made 7.34 % of profit.

Yes, we should be grateful of what we have now. But, it is just something worth thinking about. hmm.gif

As emphasized by many experts here, the best time to top up into ASX funds in terms of maximizing the dividend gained is the 1st of each month. For sure, it is not always possible to do that, because it is subject to unit availability, or 1st of each month may not be a working day.

For ASW this year, unless we top up only on 1st of each month, the effective dividend we actually get is less than 6 %. It is because the dividend is calculated, based on the lowest balance in each month.

Yeah, 7.34% is the gross profit, and the net profit is less than that. Stil, the effective percentage of dividend received by unitholders is nowhere near net profit of the fund.

Having said that, we here will still support ASX funds, as long as they are fixed-price funds. smile.gif

Does anyone else have same experience with me that the current myASNB portal (looks nicer) is less stable than the previous myASNB portal?

Each time I go to 'Penyata Akaun' and click either 'Penyata Tahunan', 'Penyata Pegangan' or 'Penyata Utusniaga Terperinci', the website will bounce back to main page (the website before you key in your login details).

So, those who have less than RM 500k in ASNB can now start to send an e-mail to ASNB, to request for calendar, right?

It is too bad that the top-up function for ASNB fixed-priced fund in myASNB portal is disabled today. Huh? bangwall.gif The portal says that we can top-up on Sundays which are not public holidays. 31 December 2017 should not be a public holiday in east states.

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Dec 27 2017, 11:31 AM)
Well u can try luck..
I doubt they would send because its already year end.. Maybe their calendar stock finished..

Just request.. See how..
*
Sigh, there is no reply from ASNB, regarding the calendar, after I sent the e-mail early last week. sad.gif

In 2018, I will start to request calendar in early December, rather then late December.

It is ok for me, for not getting the calendar, as long as the 2018 dividend for ASM, ASW and AS1M are well above 6 %. smile.gif

Can transfer unit ,but not online .
Transfer fees Charges rm15 .
*
After the transfer was completed, did the staff (ASNB or agent bank) give you a computer-printed ASNB receipt, showing the name of transferor and transferee, number of units that were transferred and the transfer fee charge of RM 15.00?

Thank you for your information. smile.gif

Sigh, I thought that ASNB would have "released" the ASM units, for us to buy on AS1M dividend day, but that is not the case.

Zeti has pledged to be more transparent, in regards to ASNB. Then again, why can't PNB be more transparent regarding the status of ASM? If PNB really "reserves" ASM for ASNB FP + VP bundle, then PNB should issue an official statement that ASM is "locked" for individual purchase, as of now.

You are an inspiration to us all. I still have a long way to go, before my holding in ASNB is even close to 10% of your holding in ASNB.

Your Largest Transaction Amount per Attempt = RM 9999.99.

Your Estimated Holding in AS1M prior to Dividend Reinvestment = RM 20960.44 / 6% = RM 349340.67

Your Estimated Holding in ASW prior to Dividend Reinvestment = RM 23148.74 / 6% = RM 385812.33

I am sorry for being noisy. No offense intended. sweat.gif You are our role model whom we should emulate, so that we need to save more money and invest more in ASNB. smile.gif

Yes, there are 2 AS1M dividend reinvestments. So, guy3288 has at least 2 MyASNB accounts to top-up.

Can you all download Holding Statement from the myASNB website?

I am unable to download Holding Statement, as the link is missing.

Holding Statement is a summary showing the current investment amount for all ASNB funds that you have.

When I login to MyASNB portal, I can see the following text, below ASNB advertisement.

Jana kod rujukan dan gunakan ia di kempen ASNB akan datang (sekiranya ada)

xxxxxxxxxx is a 10-alphanumeric character reference code.

How can we use such reference code?

Thank you for your information. thumbup.gif

Yeah..saw it too..
Wondering the same..

Maybe can use the code when entering any contest / game by pnb group 😎

Easier for them to filter non bumi entrant in the contest devil.gif
*
You could be correct. Thanks for sharing your opinion. smile.gif

I am more than happy, if PNB can maintain the dividend rate of all non-bumi FP at 6% or more.

There is no need for such fancy promotions and contests, that cost money to be organized, and may reduce the dividend rate of FP.

but would be happy if they can.. really respect them when the market portfolio / stock at losses  rclxm9.gif

I agree with your point, and we have to be mentally prepared for the possibilities of less than 6% dividend next year. sad.gif

Then again, if we go to MyASNB portal, you can see that PNB is giving 100 iPhone X, to encourage investment from new members into ASNB.

In my opinion, it costs money to give away 100 iPhone X, and such cost may result in reduction in FP dividend rate. sad.gif

At such rate, you are going to be, or now are a substantial shareholder of ASM2 and ASM3 (with 10% of total units or more). PNB have to offer you a seat in the board of directors for ASM2 and ASM3. We are going to see your name as a substantial shareholder, in next year annual report. rclxm9.gif

Just joking, ok. smile.gif No offense intended.

You are our role model we should emulate, so that we should have more savings in ASNB FP. notworthy.gif

(If I'm correct in reading the info)

Since ASM, ASM2 and ASM3 are required to reveal its NAVs, is there a remote possibility that ASM, ASM2 and ASM3 may be converted to VPs? As such, to protect our investments, should we sell our holdings in ASM, ASM2 and ASM3 before the end of this year?

Anyway, it is my unverified opinion on the screenshot posted by nexona88. It is best that we wait for experts' opinion on the future direction of ASM, ASM2 and ASM3, before we decide our next move.

well the exemption could be extended too  brows.gif

Understood.

We can only breathe a sigh of relief, if the next ASNB Master Prospectus (Year 2018, or Year 2019?) clearly states the exemption to reveal the NAVs for ASM, ASM2 and ASM3.

For now, it is business as usual for us to keep topping up, as pointed by [Ancient]-XinG-. Once we get the next ASNB Master Prospectus, we shall decide our next move. Regardless of what option we choose, we need to safeguard our investments. smile.gif
