Stupid question - if purchased ASW2020 on 4th Sep - would that have the interest for sep counted for the 2018 payout?

Today managed to topup some into as1m and asw. Just to double confirm, I'll still get the dividend for this month for the amount that I managed to enter today right?
*
Right! Today is the best day to topup because dividend for October is included. I also managed to top up some ASM.

agreed..
many is disappointed with PNB
*
If the difference is 1% or less, I will move my fund back to FD. For example 5.5% ASNB vs 4.5% FD or 6% ASNB vs 5% FD.

Well i think we all know it is almost impossible go hVe enough funds to payout to everyone.. how many ppl in the country... and when a particular bank busts, the country will be in deeper sheet, thus PIDM is like an “assurance” which can never Cover everyone imho... i believe anythin happen also those big shots n with connections will be the 1 compensated first.. when our turn wor lol
*
PIDM covers u to RM250k per person per bank. Only those with millions in the bank are deeply affected.

QUOTE(Jinglexo @ Oct 2 2017, 09:00 PM)
If Pnb bust what will happen to our money?
*
PNB funds are not capital protected by PIDM or government. If PNB bust all your money goes to longkang.

Why? U think FD more secure or what other reasons?

Yes I'm willing to forgo 1% for the peace of mind of pidm protection. But at around 2% difference, I'll still go for ASx.

Where did you get this source? Maybe should claify with ASNB customer service.

I don't think so. If you got bank account, you can withdraw how much you want into the bank account.  Then withdraw out fully in cash. Banks can't stop you from taking RM200k.
That's if gov got money to pay RM250k/person. Imagine 1000 people have RM250k, that's RM250m in compensation.

Correction. For PNB to go burst, banks like Maybank, PB have to go down, then your NAV is at 1.00, how your money can goes longkang. You just need to wait longer to get back your money. It's a fund house.
*
PNB does not invest in banks like Maybank and PB only. They also invest in properties in London and Merdeka PNB 118 which cost RM5b (maybe more upon completion).

I also wish PNB is strong and solid with their investments. Currently I have more than 50% of my assets invested with ASx.
