I got consider epf for my parents as well, but seems partial withdrawal is easier via asnb.

Anyone can tell how much small cut that asnb takes via nomination process?

Anyway, you can always transfer your father units to yours to avoid that cut, when you feel the time is near, with only RM 15.

Good move for investing in EPF than ASx for your father.
But what if u go first, and u dont have pengisytiharaan amanah(which I think is cheaper than will) for your ASx?
If life is so predictable.
*
What I mean is register for pengisytiharaan amanah, but transfer units when someone get cancer or some serious illness to avoid cut.

Yes, life is unpredictable, so there is always plan b.

U can do that when a person is critically ill but not unexpected event like accident, sudden death, murdered.
*
Yes. What I suggest is register for pengisytiharan amanah. Then,
Plan A, transfer units if possible.
Plan B, follow pengisytiharan amanah procedure, pay for a small cut.

This is one of the ways, but could be not the best way.

thats why ppl said this is large legalised ponzi. i told ppl, ppl dont trust.
*
Legalised and Ponzi is mutually exclusive. Ponzi is illegal, and legalised means it isn't Ponzi.

nope. nobody can confirm it is exclusive or not exclusive.

There is a clear definition of Ponzi by LAW. If asnb fits the definition, then it is Ponzi, else it is legal.

How can it be a legalised Ponzi if you mind to explain from law perspective?

why not? it is legal as long govt protected it. unless you know all details that is showing it is not ponzi because everyone is buying up and it has been generating consistent dividend despite most equity is not performing.
*
What is not ponzi, if you need to know all details.

I don't know how fd and pidm works too, like how pidm (govt agency, but not govt) able to pay when they don't generate income by itself. So is it Ponzi by your definition?

There is an easy definition, legal is not Ponzi and vice versa, but you pick your own definition, end up everything is Ponzi.

like I said previously..

it's like 50/50 risk..

SC can give approvals to extend the period (since last one expired on 2015, extended to 2018).. to year 2020 (expire same time as ASB 2) tongue.gif

or finally full stop year end..

it's your choice to keep or withdraw as previously said by fellow forummers  biggrin.gif  icon_rolleyes.gif

It is possible, but not 50/50.

FP fund can always give 0% or lower than fd dividend too, but what are the odds?
