Nobody has received the surprise upgrade yet. Just be patient and wait. 

Why is it different? Just because of free channels vs speed upgrade? Both can be done via flick of a switch in their system. Definitely nothing is done on the upgrade yet. So be patient and wait.

Sure go ahead and chase TM. Nobody in this thread which is visited by many has reported even one case of successful upgrade, be it speed upgrade or the channel upgrade. Chasing them isn't going to help at all. Now is still February after all.

mine is DIR 850L, no problem what so ever. WOrks fine on both frequency, and I could get easily 100ft away

Hi guys, currently I am using UniFi Biz 5Mbps. Right now I am having a frequent disconnection from my router. This is really fraustrating but TM told me that they can change it for me. At first I agreed to it but then the CS said I have to pay for the router or if I want it for free, then I have to extend my contract for another two years and if I want to upgrade my package, I will need to extend my contract for another 2 more years, which means if I have upgrade my package in next year, I will have a 3 years contract. So I want to know is the router that TM is giving right now worth it or not. My friend got one brand new C1200 (not C5) from TM a few days ago but I dont know will TM give me the same router as the router is really good.

anyone have been free upgraded from 30 to 50mbps?
i have the applied the unifi surprice where free upgrade 30-->50mbps and i received sms stated processing and last sms stated completed...

i try the speedtest..... it still at speed 30mbps.
the different from previous is the last time speed test max is about 32-34mbps...
now the latest speedtest is reach to 40-41mbps but drop back to 30mbps.

download speed also not change where i download MAX as 3.3MBps

Will those "free upgrade"from the "thank you website" renew the contract?
if so, how long ?

Archer C1200 and Archer C5 v1 and C5 v2 are not exactly the same. Archer C1200 is the newer version of TPlink AC1200 catagory

Acher C1200 use Broadcom BCM47189 @ 900 MHz chipset, 128 MB RAM and 16 MB flash, 3X3 antenna

Archer C5 V2 use Broadcom BCM47081A0 @800 MHz, 128 MB RAM and 16 MB flash, 2X2 antenna.

No, there is 2 version, one is tp link c5 v2 provided by tm and another new one provided by them is tp link c1200.
