1.9 million HSBB Ports nationwide malaysia
*
mobile broadband + mobile plan = more than 60 million... meaning at least 2 number per person in malaysia... showing that we are so much rely on network/internet...

QUOTE(dannielshazmeer @ Jan 31 2017, 01:52 AM)
At the end of 2015, Malaysia population was estimated at 30.68 million and 7.48 million household. As of 3Q16, the population in Malaysia stands at 30.97 million (population projection based on Census 2010) and 7.57 million households.
In terms of HSBB (High Speed Broadband Project), the latest statistic are:
*
more than half are subscribe HSBB which mean highest penetration compare to others countries.... yet still some place had limited port and not available port.... this is just the sign where TM should prepare more infra to others...

how tm can achieved that number? this is due to monopoly, and lack of infra for others companies ...

My house will be renovated for 4 months.. and I wanted to relocate my unifi.. Is there any charge for relocation? My friend relocate his unifi without any charge before but I saw in many website stated we need to pay rm300 for relocation.. So confuse now.. Or is TM give us option to suspend our unifi services for 4 months and then continue it again?
*
for first time relocation is free... after that will need to pay rm300...

ping to USA 10years ago = 200-300ms

current ping to USA = still 200-300ms. KEK  yawn.gif

100mbps useless if ping time is junk.

our online content are not big enough to catch up internet speed yet, 100mbps is kinda excessive for the time being. How often we use 100mbps to the fullest? every 2 and half hours we download 100gb?

IMO 10mbps @ 30ms > 100mbps 300ms.
*
AAG length is 20,000km... straight line, takes around 67ms... off course with booster, interchange off course it will increase... the best is under 200ms... there is no technology right now to reduce around 100ms unless using straight line which is much more costly...

Who doesn't want a good ping?

Unless TM start laying their own international cables and the public start paying MORE for internet this is just another wish list. Most internet traffics still go through a consortium owned cable. Then there's the contention ratio you have to take into account which will affect latency.

There are some rules. For example, 30ms to USA on a residential line you can actually forget it.
even 30ms on real living cannot achievable where the minimum distance between malaysia and US(most of the content is there) is about 15,000 where minimum latency will be 50ms....

Guys, seem like I am forced to cancel my plan for unifi at current house because of the DAMNED TM who insisted my area still doesn't have coverage.... (just went TMPoint and asked them again)

DAMN TM.
*
you need to bring a proof there is infra at your place but their contractor/vendor/tm didnt finish their job... bring photo your jalan, and other jalan and bring google map to show the jalan....later thier engineer will investigate...ask them to give your phone number to investigator....

Pictures, GPS coordinate, neighbours with unifi details already provided to them yesterday.

TMPoint said, "Maaf lah. Kalau sistem kata tak boleh, tak boleh lah"

Even my friend also told me, it just they don't wanna care and probably contractor already pocketed the fund.
*
you should ask to see their manager... if not direct email or mail to their ceo...heheheh

By the way, what are weird wires in the cable highlighted in the picture used for?
*
that is the cable to strengthen the fiber cable... the white is the fiber core and other strand just to increase the strength of the cable bundle....

the cable design is based on any company produce it... it can be never be same 100% but normally consist same structure...(sure you will infringe other people design...)

So...the problem.....28Feb is only two days away....is there any chance for TM to come over for unifi installation  cry.gif before the due date?
*
adakah orang besar tm tengok dekat sini...

maybe just your complaint before.... sometimes they will said anything cannot be done... but they still submit the problem to top tier...

same like me during the beginning of the installation of unifi... apply at shah alam and pj, both give same result, no address in the system cannot done anything... even call me ask to wait until my address appear... 2 days later, got call we are processing your application and want to make appointment...bla2.. and continue get the 5mbps at the first time...

You think too much already... Spy wont submit to the higher level. But normally the Spy from one company swimming in forum frm higher level punya... and I belive TM spy in this thread also haha
*
that one just joking2 biggrin.gif tongue.gif ... off course got spy here but mostly to see any loopholes on their product...

the truth one is the next one... basically when we do report, the advisor still open report and submit to next level, up to next level to make the report is close or take any action......

and luckily, they install the DP box....

But still.... another complaint they lazy to take action, increasing the port when all port are occupied...

ping just 1ms only today
normally i'd get 3-4ms lol

puchong server is like that... even me at johor bahru got 1ms...(very fast if calculate roughly, jb to puchong straight around 330km... more if based on laying cable, let say 400km..speed of light is 300,000 km/s so 400km/300,000km/s =0.00133 s or 1.33 ms..the meaning of ping is from my computer to server and back, so should be time 2.. so supposed 2.66ms...this is just on optimal condition... of course real world will be more due to loss on switching and others...)

here my result:
