very sure it's spoiled. power everything is on but no connection. no wifi no lan, but when i switched back to the old dir615 it then works again. ac88u and ac5300 price differs a little only. but how come everyone recommend ac88u ah?

edit: my one is 3 years old now. died exactly on the 3rd year. LOL

Using Ac88u here, maybe I'm bad luck, it died on me on the second month. Big headache when come to RMA.

Asus rt-ac68u is old router...better to have 2016 onwards router if possible.

Latest may not be the greatest. I am using ac88u, rather unstable, even my old rt-n66u is better.

Serious Asus 68U is best stable ever router out there? I had read somewhere cant remember ...for Unifi ...Asus RT-AC68U  is the best router out there.

This router is able to support up to 500Mbps?

Wouldn't say it's the best, but better (stability, coverage) than a few newer and more expensive Asus release. You can read about it on snbforums or hardwarezone.
Read good reviews about higher end tp-link and synology, you may want to consider. With the size of your house, you may want to consider mesh network?
