If you have not received any free upgrade before, how come you are not in the initial list of free upgrade?
I am in my 8th month contract also got free upgrade in the initial list.

Of course not all those connected devices streaming HD at the same time.
Realistically I would say apart of streaming 4K via the tv, probably 6-8 others watching YouTube probably in HD while others probably surfing the internet.

So far I have no buffering issue with the current 50mbps speed. I cannot comment what would happen if all these connected devices streaming HD simultaneously

100mbps useless if ping time is junk.

our online content are not big enough to catch up internet speed yet, 100mbps is kinda excessive for the time being. How often we use 100mbps to the fullest? every 2 and half hours we download 100gb?

IMO 10mbps @ 30ms > 100mbps 300ms.

Whatever your preference depending on your (downloading/streaming) usage.

Ping does not equate to speed.

Then it's simple. Assuming you are on 30Mbps package now.. if you feel that you're downloading too slow or your streaming keeps buffering WHILE downloading.. best to upgrade.

If you are a patient person, then you can always stay at 30Mbps package.

Like it or not, TM breaks the world's record by being the fastest to deploy fiber to homes and at the lowest cost.
Even if you put the top ISP in the world they wouldn't be able to solve this issue. It's simply geographical limitation.

it is not the cable that is causing the problem, it is the devices in between them. and Because no R&D has put in improving the switching device latency

it has nothing todo with the geographical limitation, our fiber cable line are fast enough. What slow us down is the switching/ routing devices in between them.

There are not much effort in improvement this area. Our internet can continue to go 1gbps or even 100gbps but the real problem that does not make internet feel fast is the ping time. Gaming, live trading even live chat all these use ping time. May be pretty soon VR too.

300ms may not seems much, but it is actually alot it can add up due to packet travel back and fort.The user experience can be sometimes 1-2 sec delay

100Mbps free upgrade?
If can get means you will be paying RM 209 for 100Mbps.

Your 30M contract already expired? It's not even introduced for 2 years, coming April (super early bird) or July (soft launch) only 2 years.

Not possible to get from TM if our previous modem still ok. I'm personally purchased since I'm using NAS storage with Gigabit speed. What I can say, the device so far so good. Almost 1 year already...

This router support 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz. 5.0 GHz is good but normally i just turned it OFF. Just using 2.4 GHz only.
Device also support IPTV port (configurable).
