Based on empirical evidence & painstaking statistical analysis gathered from March 2017 until the Sep 2017. I have discovered TM's formula for determining the month where one will get the free upgrade. It is:
y=x+1+a where: y is the numerical representation of the month of the year for the free upgrade x is of the current month. a is undetermined as of now. Example: If you ask TM today, month of Sep (9), the month of your free upgrade will be 9+1 or October (10). |

Finally got my 30-50mbps TQ surprise upgrade. No MCMC required.
I've been checking once a month since May. Always they reply upgrade will be done current month+1. Last answer was September. My area is Sungai Long. Wed 27th: Called to check again but the GRO said system down so cannot check. I didn't know at that time but a ticket was raised. Thurs 28th: I called again and was told an order was already raised to upgrade the speed. OK whatever. Fri 29th 12:05am: PPPoE disconnected and reconnected by itself. That's happens. I didn't notice it at that time. Fri 29th 8:30am: Received SMS that my plan has been updated. Went to Unifi.com.my to check and true enough that it has been upgraded to 50mbps. speedtest.tm.com.my confirms likewise. No restart needed. So those in Sg Long, can start calling TM. My neighbour also got her 30-50mbps TQ upgrade. One week after mine. This is after I call TM and scolded them why my neighbour (me) already got his upgrade but I (my neighbour) still haven't. blah blah not fair blah blah mcmc blah blah complain blah blah. All in a polite way of course.
