I've successfully gotten one of my number changed to Bagus last November with no issues. Like you, I was given a case number shortly after providing all the info and proof of residency overseas. Few days later I was informed in PM and via SMS that the plan has successfully been changed to Bagus plan. The staff, Dexter attended to my case and was very helpful.

Yesterday, I requested for another of my number to be changed to Bagus plan. Once again, I provide all the details and proof/reason. This time, Andrea replied to say that I'll need to contact them after 3 months, have minimum RM50 in my credit balance and provide proof again. Hence, I did a top up but was rejected once again because my "activation date is less than 3 months". I've no idea what the activation date is. I assume it's the validity expiry date because Andrea mentioned the activation date is on 25/7 which is also when my validity expires. I've once again top up to extend the validity to 22/10 but was still rejected. #Hotlink replies to me now is basically "Sorry, please contact us after 3 months".

So I would like to know if any of you guys here who requested for this change of plan can explain what this 3 months wait is, because Hotlink isn't giving me a proper explanation.

The 3 months is calculated from the date you register the number, not validity. You can check the registered date with the CS by calling the Helpline.

Your account must be at least 3 months old before able to process change plan to Bagus. This is a new requirement for change plan to Bagus.

So check if your number is already registered 3 months old with the Hotlink CS.

Andrea mentioned 25/7, meaning you registered on 25th July. So my calculation is that 3 months after that, 26th. October only can change plan.

Hope you will get the change plan successfully.

My number has been on Maxis for over 10 years. I had changed it to Hotlink since November 2016 and have been using my number on Hotlink Fast plan all the while for the past half a year. My number has clearly been active for more than 3 months with Hotlink. Thanks for explaining that the account has to be at least 3 months old to be able to request for the change. At least this now makes sense. Maybe you might want to include in your first post what are the requirements to be able to get the plan converted to Bagus, including proof of living/studying/working overseas and minimum credit balance of RM50.

But I seriously have no idea why Andrea was giving me so much headache. 25/7 is a date in the future, how can I register my number on 25/7 and have been using my number for the past 10 years on Maxis/Hotlink?

Anyways, another staff named Fiza has been helpful and apologized for their earlier replies. He replied me with my case number on 16/7 and my number is now already on Bagus starting 17/7.
