Hi guys,

I'm looking for a tablet that fit my usage in university, taking note and reference.

I have 2 in my mind, iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro. Both 9.7 inch.
Can anyone share the experience whether iPad Pro is worth to get, since the price is significantly higher than Air series. Does performance of Pro series have much different than Air?

Need some advise, please share, thank you.

I see, what about ios support for iPad Air 2? Does it going to last for next few years?
Apparently Apple introduced Air series was 2 years ago. (iPad Air 2 was released since 2014)

Same thoughts, 64GB almost saved rm 600-800 compare to 32GB Pro series.

Honestly I dun like to write on solid surface like floor, even table.

There is no soft copy note given to us, we have power point slides and question papers to refer.
The number of slides is ridiculously many. Couldn't afford to print, unless you could manage to read ant type of front size. (4 slides in 1 page)

I do prepare my own pen and papers for writing contents. Anyhow, if case I couldn't manage to get front seat, at least I have an ipad to refer instead of watching far range of projector image.

What can I say, kids nowadays have very enjoyable life. cool2.gif cool2.gif cool2.gif

Do you prefer to take notes using a pencil? Meaning with a pen and notebook? Because I tried going through the path of using an iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil for note taking and other stuff but in the end, I felt it was under utilised and decided with taking notes using Evernote on my MacBook instead. Typing seems faster for me.

I see...

Yeah, just notebook and a pen for taking note. Doesn't seem like apple pencil going to work well for me, especially speed is one of the core aspect.

Anyway, typing is very difficult in maths class, couldn't locate the symbol that I looking for.

Ah yes, for maths it is definitely faster with just a pen and paper. Perhaps when the rumoured Apple Pencil 2 comes out, it might be fast enough for your needs.

Well, I bought iPad Air 2 before CNY. Quite aware it is 2 years ago product. Pro series? 1k different in price and feature not much different.

If you ask me, I would rethink to choose between this year new iPad and iPad Air 2.

Hey I got the same dilemma as yours biggrin.gif!
Honestly us kids really got it easy nowadays with option to use tablet as an alternatives to pen and paper.

Previously I use the surface pro and loving every single part of it. Then the tablet got stolen...

In any case I'm considering iPad Pro 9.7. Mostly because it's small and easy to carry. Also since I love to draw, the extra performance on Pro along with stylus compatibility, make it all the more alluring for me to pick it up. But then again, price wise the air 2 is much more in line with my tight budget :/

I'm one of those guy that enjoy using tablet to take notes in class. It's so much easier since I don't have to carry much. All of my notes are stored inside my old tablet and browsing through the notes was a breeze!
