Why need to wait until end of Mac? Price of RAM for now is still low. If can afford to pay tht extra Rm10-20 to cover the little hike, why not just buy it now?? Actually no one can guarantee u tht the RAM price will fall at the end of Mac too rite? Like last time all said RAM price will drop after x'mas. Just a point of view from a RAM seller here.

damn... i do not know when to buy it ... coz my school exams are next week and my mom said dun buy yet until after exams which is the week after next week ... so i said better buy end of march coz someoene said its gonna drop .. so now yehlai got a really good point .... haihh ... like that i will buy it after my exams le ..haha .. anyway .. how much u all think the ram price will hike up by then?

Even RAM supplier or seller also cant answer u tht question.

Just buy when u think its right to buy Some people will have heard when it will drop or rise but most of the time, just watch the price carefully because ram prices are quite special as it will not drop only like other hardware, it will go up and down (exception is when things started to upgrade) current mainstream , 2gb is still the choice so 2x2gb kits are still far from mainstream so don't expect 1Gb ram to drop price to a very low price now

Actually remember the old thread explaining why ram go down,it really did....If u need it juz buy,if u like u can wait..but this there is no reason why price will drop again.Maybe the @GB stick coming up???

u mean 2 right ? IMHO , 2GB stick are still not so popular now and rumours about the new DDR3 during the 3rd quarter of the year makes me think that the price will stay firm as it will not take over the 1GB stick yet as Vista can run at 2GB perfectly (in extreme cases, 4gb might needed though)

Yep priced drop! Yesterday I went Lowyat THINKING just to get the price quotation for my new PC. But the more I ask, the cheaper it gets!! So so tempting!! So instead of just asking for quotation, I ended up getting the PC from Czone, somemore last minute at 8.45pm, just when the shop is about to close! But they are willing enough to build my PC and got it at 930pm....

Thanks to those working in Czone for helping me out to assemble my pc at the very last minute!

say he will give me RM960 price. haha

hard to say..7900gt, 7900gtx, and 7950gx2 has been discontinued. so price will only increases.

i dont think so, but instead their prices will stopped at a stage, where only slight fluctuations. If the 7 series prices increase, while 8 series is dropping, which card people will go for?

I think the prices for 7 series will drop to a quite affordable price (and stay there) until they are completely phased out (like what Nvidia did to the 6 series when 7 series going mainstream)

yup, got my 7300GT @ only RM340 and the price is still dropping!

yeah, it will hit rock bottom and then goes up by how much it depends and then stabilize. it really depends on timing. I tried that once for the 6800Ultra and when I'm ready to buy everywhere out of stock. than when I was hoping for the 7800GT but 7900GT came out and I bought that.

i really hope our RM continue to increase against USD maybe to RM3/dollar than it will be nicer.
