 chrome browser hang and crash, youtube facebook lagging and hang

hi guys,

sometime when im watching youtube videos, and drag the time-line, chrome start hanging,
and sometime when im browsing fb, chrome start hanging as well,
this are the 2 most open website and the problem happen very often, other website seldom have this problem.

whenever chrome hangs, it wont recover, i have to close it n reopen doh.gif
but then when i check the task manager, my cpu usage is minimal, ram usage around 30-40% (cuz i open alot diff tabs)
my pc is running i5-6500 and 16gb ram. what is wrong with my chrome browser hmm.gif


i tried reset the chrome app, re-install, but same problem still exist.
anyone encounter this before? or have any idea what can i do with this? notworthy.gif

have your tried other browsers? or specificially happens on chrome only? sometimes a bad driver causes all these. I know windows 10 has a problem with the network hogging up the CPU until its lags.

hmm. i did tried firefox, but the problem seems to happen with chrome only

but i dint see my cpu usage go very high when chrome hangs also

are you using a 32 or 64bit Chrome browser? If 32 try using a 64bit and see if it helps

when i dl can choose? i dotn remember can choose 32/64 bit.

ya. i read about this, but somehow my extension on few, i disable them a try, but problem still there


anyway thx guys,
somehow the problem doesnt happen in this recent weeks, not sure izit chrome updated or what
but i did not do anything out of ordinary. cheers thumbsup.gif

Hi.

Sorry for necro-ing this thread.

I think I agree with both of you.


My system memory is 2GB.

Each time I upload videos (1GB to 2GB size) on YT, everything seems to be lagging.

Including while I am watching a movie via VLC nor MPC.




I only have 1 extension on my chrome.

Stream Video Downloader 9.2.11
