Hi SystemWorks, I bought my Navigator Black last week. It costs RM1650.00. To me and my son the Black color one is not only cheaper than the white color one, the phone is damn cooool. According to my son, the White color one looks too feminine or girlish.
Can anyone help by showing me how to install PC Suite in my DELL Notebook and then sync with the Navi? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. |

My problem was that I d/l the PC Suite from Nokia Europe website. When it came to the part requesting to hook up the USB cable, I did and somehow it couldn't read. Then I used the CD which came with the phone to install, everything went smooothly. Now no problem.
The white color model costs a bit more. 1GB Sandisk microSD costs only RM50. Am not buying one now as I forsee the price for the 2GB which currently costs RM110, will drop soon. Then maybe I'll buy the 2GB. |

QUOTE(sonyclie77 @ Jun 20 2007, 10:58 PM) Cool that your problem is solved. I bought mine @ Atlantis Communication, SS2. This guy, Christopher looks a decent guy and willing to consider negotiating. Just curious, where did you get your Black 6110 Navigator? Yours seem to be the cheapest I've heard so far. Added on June 21, 2007, 4:10 pmCan someone assist me? After installing the PC Suite into my DELL Notebook and copying my Contact Directory from my N6110 Navi to my Notebook...: (a) How do I access the Contact Directory in my Notebook? (b) Do I need to hook up my Navi to the Notebook or I don't need to? Thx. This post has been edited by Moutzu: Jun 21 2007, 04:10 PM |

QUOTE(sonyclie77 @ Jun 21 2007, 06:33 PM) NAVFone by Agis is pre-installed as well. So the package comes with 2 maps, NAVFone and Route66. Mind showing me how to sync using Outlook. I checked my Outlook and found all my Contacts there but dunno how to sync. 1,000 apologies ah..I'm not tech savvy. If you use GPS extensively, the batt will drain very fast. I'm not sure how to define moderate usage, but I charge mine every night. Yes it is. That's why if your main concern is GPS, do consider other dedicated GPS devices like those from Garmin. Darn, I got mine from the same guy as well, and I didn't get that cheap a price. But mine's White, so maybe that explains the more expensive price. How did you copy your Contacts into your notebook? I sync my contacts using Outlook. Added on June 26, 2007, 2:04 pm QUOTE(sonyclie77 @ Jun 24 2007, 11:22 PM) Go to Settings - Phone Settings - General - Personalization - Standby - Active Standby sonyclie77, did what you stated and...voila..kau tim. thx a 1000000. U're a gem. Kam siah...kam siah.... Change it to Off. This post has been edited by Moutzu: Jun 26 2007, 02:04 PM |

QUOTE(sonyclie77 @ Jul 5 2007, 12:36 AM) Someone actually got MapKing to work on the N95. sonyclie77,Not sure if it can be used on the 6110 Navigator. Sadly, no cradle is bundled. But I haven't heard of a break-in case because of a cradle. SmartTag, yes but no the cradle. A lot of drivers use the cradle just to place their normal mobile phone. No. The 6110 Navigator comes pre-installed with 2 softwares for mapping purposes, NAVFone and Route66. Yes you need the PUK2 code to deactivate it. The 6110 Navigator, together with N95 are FP1 powered phones, and thus there's this restriction out of the box. Just key in the PUK2 code and you can use your data services as normal, and enjoy HSDPA speeds. N73 is not FP1 powered. My Navi comes with a factory set PUK2 code. Have never use this option b4. Do you know what is the PUK2 code and what does PUK2 code do? Thx. |

QUOTE(sonyclie77 @ Jul 9 2007, 01:48 AM) Maybe you want to consider buying the Klang Valley Map in book form, sold in major book stores like MPH and popular. Me too interested in getting one leather pouch.Sadly, you can't do so at the moment. Nokia Maps are by far the most complete map for Nokia phones at the moment. I heard MapKing may be available for Nokia phones soon. But let's keep our fingers crossed. Very possible. That's why people always complaint that their data charges suddenly went rocket high. I don't use a pouch with it. Just put it in my pocket. But I don't mind getting a leather pouch if it's available. Just called their Customer Service to request for the PUK2 Code. DiGi informed me that they don't hv such PUK2 Code, instead I was advised to seek assistance from Nokia Centre. I'm baffled why Maxis can furnish this code but DiGi can't. Any explanation? This post has been edited by Moutzu: Jul 9 2007, 03:27 PM |

QUOTE(sonyclie77 @ Jul 9 2007, 11:15 PM) I'm not sure why this is needed. Yes I did. Well it was of no help. They gave me the PIN2 code as 1234 but it was wrong. When I checked my Navi, I couldn't find the APN Control. In fact there was no such item. What I have in the phone is BT, USB Access Points Packet Data Data Call, SIP Settings and Configurations but no APN Control. Can it be that because DiGi has no 3G bandwidth, thus no APN Control? But FP1 phones like the N95 and the 6110 Navigator requires the PUK2 code to deactive it. Mine can only last 1 day, but it's with heavy usage, and with BT on and occasional GPS. I'm still continuously searching for a pouch for my 6110 Navigator. Will post here if I do find anything interesting. DiGi does not have PUK2 code? That's strange. So have you went to a Nokia Centre? Added on July 12, 2007, 2:26 pm QUOTE(edtan5 @ Jul 12 2007, 12:59 PM) if i'm not wrong, digi sim pack does provide PUK2 code at the card or casing.... something like tat la.... Checked my DiGi SIM Pack, only one PUK code given. Wonder why if last DiGi has/had, why not now???? very long ago i ter-nampak wan using maxis here Added on July 12, 2007, 1:07 pm no opening at the back for the speaker??? how the sound gonna come out This post has been edited by Moutzu: Jul 12 2007, 02:26 PM |

QUOTE(ViRaViRa @ Jul 12 2007, 05:52 PM) Yes, you dont have the APN Control option when you DiGi. But why you need that? You can still access to internet & send mms right? Hi ViRaViRa, many thx for your comments. Will still be able to enjoy HSDPA? So that you can access to the internet or send MMS. If not it shows connection not allowed. Added on July 13, 2007, 4:03 pm QUOTE(sonyclie77 @ Jul 13 2007, 12:07 AM) No such luck mate. Hi Sonyclie77, so far haven't. Most x I use my Notebook whenever I want to go online.I did a search at Low Yat the other day and no such pouches for the Navigator so far, save for the 3rd party ones in which the quality is not really up to standard. You still cannot access the internet? This post has been edited by Moutzu: Jul 13 2007, 04:03 PM |

QUOTE(sonyclie77 @ Jul 24 2007, 01:27 AM) I think he's referring to N95's case whereby you have to pay after 60 days if you want to navigate turn by turn with voice. I don't think this applies to the 6110 Navigator though. Nothing is mentioned when I initiate either Route66 or NAVFone. Smart2Go is not installed in the 6110 Navigator by default. Default mapping apps for the Navigator is Route66 and NAVFone by Agis. sonyclie77, would you be kind enough to show me the steps on how to run the smart2go after installation? Thx. |
