Sportivo not toyota only kah? sweat.gif

Numerous times this been asked.
Just visit body kit shop or check mudah.com.
You'll be surprised at the selection of kit available to city.
If crazy cash enough go type R kit.

Enough meh? that means once activate it, have to immediately change lane? That will not give other vehicles/motorists enough time to react wor... i normally open signal for few seconds only change lane. That's why that defeated the purposes of one-touch-signal hmm.gif

Im of same opinion that 3 blinks is way too short..Anyway, you can double tap the blinker to keep blinker on.

Tap:
blink
blink
tap
blink
blink

Bro, your driver side seat krok krok krok sound when going thru uneven road? Myy facelift v spec also kruk kruk sound on uneven road on driver side, i cant trace where the sound..damn. Somemore my steering wheel got tack tack noise,  i suspect clock spring problem. Disappointed in Honda quality, my 1st and will be my last Honda car.

Anyone know how much the depreciation rate after 1year for V spec honda city facelift 2017? Thanks
*
I know a pre-facelift honda V spec that makes sound at rear seats if there are passengers sitting at the back.

Solution? Go SC and tell them to fix. Something about seat got wrong somewhere and need SC to fix.

your services so cheap? my 10k + 20k services ald cost around rm800+
the last i rmb was around rm500+

insurance cost is depends on your car value and NCB discount.
if no NCB discount, it might cost around 2k plus for E spec
*
Those are crazy numbers yo. My 10k and 20k are around RM300 ish, and that was the time when they overprice with with unnecessary items like engine oil treatment and engine cleaner. Plus I once do rotation aligment at SC and they cost a whopping 50+ i think. Recently I do outside mechanic near my shop, cost RM17.
Always say no to extra services and items except what's stated in your warranty booklet.

Question: If we change to V SPEC rims will it void warranty since is actually from HONDA itself?
*
Perhaps v spec honda rims still okay, but if change to sport rim will void suspension/absorber warranty.
Going to claim absorber under warranty soon but first statement from honda is, if change sport rim cannot claim. rclxub.gif

why claim absorber?
*
Got leaking, found out during rotation balancing alignment.
Can claim under warranty, thankfully i didnt touch the rims and dont plan too for a long time.
But now I wonder if rims faulty, is it possible rim shop can provide original honda ones or if can claim under wararnty hmm.gif

i think is depend on sc. i got fren already changed to sport rim, but he still able to claim absorber from JM sc in BM.
*
I see, so confused with these non-standardized rules bangwall.gif

If one day my original v spec rims kaput, should I look for honda rims for replacement or open my choice to any other rims?

Are honda rims available at outside tyre/rim shop?

After how long you guys change your rims to new one?

Just went to hardware store for some stuff. also brought some spare chair leg cover. Look exactly like our wiper nut cover and cost 40sen per piece.

look like this

Good news I got spare and super cheap source of nut cover. Bad news, I couldnt even try it on my car because my current nut cover held too strong. I super glued long time ago after it got stolen in kelantan.

oh
if do outsite
it wont void any warranty?
recently got ppl ask wanna change tyre or not
but dunno will void warranty or not

here got any ppl buy daun pisang from taobao?
*
Tyres itself no problem because it's considered wear n tear item. If your car new, I think it has warranty for the tyres about a year. After that, change all you want.

But the rims are different story..I claim my warranty but sc warm that if change rims cannot claim. Some other sc claim can go ahead change rim without affect warranty.

I went for the first 1000km service today. It's FOC. Then, the receipt states the next coming 10,000km service is around RM 450.

How much you guys paid for your 10,000km service?
*
What kind of bullshit are they pulling by telling you that kind of price? My 30k service was far less than that.

If you want estimates, Honda website got price estimate hlbut never had a sc gave me future service estimate.

For your sake, read your warranty booklet telling you what service is mandatory. Refuse all else. They can't void warranty of not mandatory and some like balancing can be done outside quicker and cheaper.

Last time I paid less than RM 300. Because 10k km service labor charge is free.

You can refer to website below for simple estimation and parts mandatory to change. The engine oil quoted here is mineral oil. For us upgrade to Fully Synthetic oil 10-20W add another RM 50 like that...

https://www.honda.com.my/model/maintenance/city?id=51

So if the SC next time quote additional items other than these, please question them will it void warranty if not change that additional item...SC normally will quote extra items to earn more....so always check first.
*
Dont ask service advisor if it voids warranty. Just straight out say, NO remove these extra item.

If we read warranty booklet, it shows the item that need servicing like engine oil, oil filter etc etc. Refusing those and only those will void your warranty.

Ello Sifu2 honda city,

I am currently in the midst of buying my first car and so far due to my budget am stuck between vios (cough cough) and city. I have been asking frenz and family and both are divided in their opinions. I would like to ask you all if you have any regrets/issues over buying a city over other cars and any advice given I deeply appreciate it.

FYI, the car will be my primarily used for transport to work and other needs. Will be driving it around Selangor area and maybe will be using it to travel across other states for road trips.
*
Test drive both and try read both forums.
Consider your budget range, try open your options to mazda 2 also. Or perhaps bezza which is cheaper.

Personally, I find worrying reports by forumera on the latest FL city build quality which I dont experience.

Hi Guys,

I just completed my first service and upload my receipt here after done my first 1000km service.
The last row states the estimated costs for the coming 10,000km service.
This SC seems like want to over-charge me sad.gif

go read few pages before, was discussed. SC inflate estimate prices, possibly so they can extra charge you for unnecessary things. And then, the total price will not even come out up to 400+. So you will think "huh less than rm450, so not bad" even though you got overcharged.

Somebody perhaps can rajin post on honda facebook and asks this discrepancy of prices. Imagine honda image when telling people the service cost is that ludicrous.

ps might want to cut out those info at top to keep you anonymous yo.

Jap car's handling have nothing to shout about. The first time i drove the honda city, i notice the steering is damn light due to the Electronic Power Steering. Remember to check your tyre pressure when collecting the car.

If u really prioritize handling, u should look into Conti cars. There are also some conti cars around our Honda city price range such as Ford Fiesta, VW Polo, etc. But say bye bye to your RV.

If u want Jap and fun to drive, u should look into Mazda 2. But rear seat and boot space is very small.
*
Volkswagen polo even had crazy 50% discounts, so Damn cheap for conti car. Downside is size, rode one very small cabin compared to myvi.

Don't proton cars have good handling since tuned by lotus? Perhaps that guy can check out persona or preve.

I'm fine with average handling of city since I drive slow or at speed limit in highways. Cruise on highway make long travel convenient and save gas with constant cruise speed.

What the symbol mean? Dont f know, still gotta check your manual which 99% inside your car right now.

Manual wont state power% of air con reroute. Stop being coy.

But this is customer service review, not on product quality hmm.gif
Never got this survey also, so far my service at SC is okay. Just have to be very wise not to opt into unnecessary items.

Still, recent reports by the forumers on the FL quality is pretty worrying. I'd definitely won't promote honda cars to my friends in the future, instead would advise them to try out toyata, bezza, mazda.

Search back few pages and city owners discussed adding extra rubber sealing to reduce noise when in interior cabin. Can go to accs shop to do.

One of us got mod for extra sealing and he comment there's some small improvement.

Daun pisang to reduce stone and gravel hitting body.
Tyre type also help. Pressure I think only for your FC

Wah your SA think he can makan you.

Hmm I don't know when to expect for my loan to be approved, it has been 2 weeks already. My SA keep saying "still processing" when I asked for updates. The SA said roughly can be approved by this week. Well, let see if that "roughly" kena tomorrow unsure.gif
*
2 weeks processing loan already shows he's bullshitting you...Unless youre really unqualified for the loan. Which if that's the case, you would have been rejected early already.

Ask SA where he applied loan and you can contact the bank directly. If he refuse to tell, then you just got an unreliable untrustworthy SA.

Wanna bring this up again. Since this is my 1st autobox car, im not so familiar with proper shifting method.
But anybody find that u can switch gears 1 position up or down without using the gear Release Button? Is like i can shift N-R-N-D without pressing the release button. Is it bad if i do that?
*
N>R>P or P>R>N always require you to press brakes and gear button. It's interlock to ensure you dont go into R gear when going at 40+km/h which would total your gearbox lol.

Other than that, 'below' N like N>D no need press gear release. D>S need press gear release. Ive habit of pushing for D>N when seeing red light ahead.
