I am a believer in cashless payment methods and hate bulky wallets. Just like other men, i tend to end up having lotsa coins.

Of recent, discovered this new fintech player in town specialising in mobile wallet called 'Kiple' - www.kiplepay.com. They got a corny tagline: "Save. Earn. Pay It Cool" (not sure why it sounds like that lol)

They claim that they are a mobile wallet provider that gives you secure cashless & card-less convenience.
It let you save when you spend at your favourite stores.

Their benefits:

- 10% rebate (5% StoreValue and 5% KipleKash)
- Get access to 30% off deals
- Snap up promos that are FREE to redeem
- Enhance your shop & dine experience with digital innovations
- Carry less cash and cards, and wallet bulk
- Trusted Bank Negara Malaysia regulated e-payment partner and secure 6-digit pin with fingerprint option

At current they already have a bunch of merchants onboard across categories such as F&B, Health & Beauty, Travel, Auto etc - http://kiplepay.com/merchant-locator. But careful check, i found out that their merchants are mostly around DU and pockets of merchant as far as KL side and Shah Alam side.

Quite reasonable number of merchants for a noob

Their HQ is located in Paradigm Mall, Kelana Jaya and already many merchants brows.gif Not sure, but looks like a promising start for this company though. Good to see another player trying to go against bigger fintech guys

Anyone here their user yet? Gonna try them out.

It is not the first time mobile wallet player tries the Malaysian market. Back in the days there are some tieing up with Telco but failed miserably.

The issue is on general consumer acceptance. China is on the tip of cashless transactions and you can't lose a mobile here. Cause every transactions are through mobile mostly, even transfer of money to individuals.

It all depends on general acceptance. Wechat for example is trying to penetrate international market, same like alipay. But unfortunately most market outside of China has yet to accept this notion of mobile wallet.

i would say malaysia mentality still prefer holding hard cold cash instead of wallet. you will never get any success unless some big players partner up really go into digital.

Eg, T&G forcing people go cashless.

Kiplepay is dying tbh, too many aggressive competitors around, and Kiplepay wasn't even aggressive in the first place.

For me this is just a beginning for UUM to create a cashless ecosystem in the campus. At least they can educate students and staff to use less cash. Oh ya, I have written about KiplePay in my blog, but it is written in Malay. Maybe you can read about it to find out more.

I noticed it can be used to pay for Domino's web orders too. Sadly, there is just no reward/benefits to adopting another e-wallet.
You also can't use Kiple at domino's outlet, but instead they'd just adopted GrabPay for cash payments.

Currently there are 40 approved non-bank e-money issuers in Malaysia.

I have seen Kiple's Pay demo - not bad. Its a big competition out there.

Quick questions:
1) Which card can give 5% for RM5000? I want that.
2) You found the link for withdrawal limit. So, how did you calculate to earn RM 248?
