My sim arrived! So far, very very impressed with the speed at Sabah in a relatively non-busy area.

Could I get an invite to group with all the cool people?

I don't roam but will go on a trip in Feb where the data can be used.Lol.

Unlimited data sounds tempting and I do tether once a while but it doesn't seem like a deal breaker, at least for me (tethering part)

What I'm more concerned is on the stability of the coverage. As I've been with Umobile for quite sometime now and have seen their coverage expanding and improving leaps and bounds. If WeBE can be better off the bat than perhaps worth the risk, plus it's on no contract basis.

That's why I'm looking for someone with similar experience to help if possible, to share.

Stability is kind of subjective. I suggest getting a friend who owns webe to try it out wherever you'll be using it, or just try it out yourself with a new number. Since there's no contract, you can terminate it anytime you like. The worst that could happen is that you lose RM106.

In my case, even though coverage is good, the switch between 3g and 4g is very inconsistent. I have to manually switch or toggle airplane mode off and on. Speed is also inconsistent but otherwise good. Granted my phone is using a custom rom that is anything but stable.

Hi everyone , just want to confirm. If i sign up i get unlimited data but the speed is capped for which apps? youtube?

Also can anyone help me test if the speed is capped for twitch.tv app/site as it is the main streaming site i use all the time. No point i change to unlimited data if i can't watch my favourite streamers x.x

Twitch is really hit or miss. Sometimes can watch source quality no problem, sometimes even mobile quality will buffer. Likely depends on area as well. Uploading stuff is great though. So much faster than Streamyx.

I'm sorry that some of you guys have horrible experience with Webe. But so far I'm quite happy with mine.

What about astro on the go?

I'm sorry, I can't get the app to play anything for me. I do see some network transfers when trying to play though. About 200-800KB/s.

Webe charged an advance payment for February.  unsure.gif

Hasn't this always been the case with Webe charging ahead?

FWIW this is the first time I've seen a Malaysian telco updating it's payment status immediately after paying through the website. It's oddly satisfying to see "FULLY PAID" in green colored text.

Asia City area around this time (11am ish) can get around 25-30mbps. At kepayan area around 10mbps at 4G full bar. 3G speed horrible.
