For webe broadband. If I register now, can I still get the extra 20gb quota? Or not?

Can anybody suggest a cheap LTE router that can be used with Webe broadband? I have a U Mobile dongle, but can webe sim be used in that dongle?
So far, I have found these options. A. Router with built-in sim card slot, Price on Lazada 1. D-Link DWR-921- RM450. Support band 38. 2. TP Link TL-MR6400- RM420. Support band 38 and 40. 3. Huawei B310S- RM350. Support band 38 and 40. 4. Huawei B315- RM550. Support band 38. B. Router that will require 4G dongle, price on Lazada 1. TP Link TL-MR3220 - RM65 2. TP Link TL-MR3420- RM99 3. D-Link DWR-116 -RM115 C. 4G USB Dongle, price on Lazada 1. ZTE MF821- RM138. Support band 38. 2. Huawei E3372- RM265. Support band 38. So basically, the cheapest combination that I could have is ZTE MF821 + TP-Link TL-MR3220, ie RM203. However, if my U Mobile dongle can be used with Webe sim, then I only need to buy TP-Link TL-MR3220 which cost RM65. Please give suggestions of what would be the best option. |

QUOTE(oktuck18 @ Feb 28 2017, 01:01 PM) Any hint that Webe will extend its free 20GB for broadband plan? Two webe representatives confirmed with me that those who sign up before 28 February would still get 30GB quota after 1 March. If not i will terminate the plan since 10GB is not attractive at RM59/mth |

Just got my webe broadband sim. Put that into my mi4i, but it couldn't connect to webe network. But when I do manual search, 502 153 ie webe network clearly was there, but couldn't connect to it. Anybody have any idea?

QUOTE(shanfathi @ Feb 28 2017, 09:46 PM) Theoretically it should work, as your phone can connect to band 38 and 40, just like my phone. However, when I asked webe on live chat, the representative mentioned that webe broadband would not work in a phone. |

Ceh. No wonder I couldn't connect my xiaomi mi4i to webe. Mi4i only supports band 38 and 40, while webe 4g network in my area only uses band 5. I wish webe actually states in their website, which area uses band 5, 38 and 40.
After I put the webe broadband sim in my htc 10, only I know it's band 5. Network speed, better than u mobile. Yup, it might not be accurate as it's now midnight. But I will test again tomorrow. Ok now I need to find Band 5 4G router. Pic 1. Webe, download: 9.29mbps, upload: 8.45mbps, ping: 24ms Pic 2. U mobile, download: 7.75mbps, upload: 1.40mbps, ping: 28ms Pic 3. Network guru, webe. Weehoo. I bought Huawei E5172s-515 on Taobao, RM160 + RM20 delivery charge = RM180. Waiting for it to arrive in about one week or so. I tried to look for it at Lelong, Lazada, Shopee etc, but the cheapest one is at Lelong at RM310. This router supports Band 5, so fingers crossed. Hope I can enjoy Webe Broadband to the full in one week.

QUOTE(mayang @ Mar 6 2017, 06:12 PM) Depend on luck. If abang kastam open 1 one, item will be released without need to apply sirim. If they want, they do as any electrical and radio system device need for sirim approval. I've bought three kindles from the US. No Sirim certifications whatsoever. Should be the same for shipment from China, I suppose.I have ordered many similar items before. All freely released. |

QUOTE(gempakstarz @ Mar 7 2017, 11:48 AM) hi any1 can share APN setting for webe? One Plus 3T global model should support all band 5, 38 and 40. So you shouldn't have any problem connecting to Webe 4G. Unless you're using OP3T North American model which only supports band 5. My conclusion, I suspect, there's no webe coverage in your area. When you search manually, can you see 502 153 network? If not, then, no Webe 4G network in your place.im using op3t to connect webe broadband but seems kenot detect webe signal |

Yeay. Got my Huawei E5172-515s direct sim router from Taobao for RM180 including delivery. Cheapest on Malaysian online stores like Lazada, Lelong, mudah etc is RM340. I ordered on 5 March, and the router was delivered today, about 5 working days. Those who want to know the link, just pm me.
I'm at Kuchai Lama, and Webe has a smaller ping, more stable and faster speed than U Mobile. But yeah, Maxis is has a faster speed and smaller ping in my area. This post has been edited by Mr Gray: Mar 13 2017, 10:48 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(ibnmurad @ Mar 14 2017, 10:40 AM) 5 days shipping is very fast. ordinary or express shipping? I purchased from lelong. Could have saved RM1xx Ordinary shipping. Yup, quite fast. Hehe. I'll only be buying from Taobao from now on. No more Lazada or Lelong. Haha, unless the price difference is too small. The only bad thing is everything is in chinese. So need to use Google Translate all the time. |
