0 knowledge when it comes to digital stuff. My current laptop is Sony, regret of getting it.

Parents recommended to buy Apple laptop but i heard the reviews is bad? Anyway I'm using it for the purpose above, so I think normal laptop will be sufficient instead of going Apple.

Thanks if I can get some advice here!

I am looking for a business type notebook to replace my aging MBP 15" 2010. I'm looking for a 13-14" replacement and has narrow down to the latest Lenovo T470S but I'm yet to find one offered locally (by looking at the internet and Lenovo website, their product listing still list the older T460s). Anybody knows any online/offline dealer I could approach?

Hey guys, need some recommendations.

1. Preferred brand : No preference
2. Budget : Below RM 5k
3. Usage :

I am looking for one that can run simulations software efficiently, such as MATLAB and Mathematica. Not good with hardware specs, but I'm guessing a good processor and large RAM are probably required?

4. Screen Size :
No preference on this, as long as it is comfortable to use.

5. Bonus point if the brand/model has good reliability and warranty support, etc.

Too many models in the market, not sure where to look. So will be nice if you guys can suggest some models, then I'll research those models.

Thanks guys!  notworthy.gif

Looking for good BUDGET laptop for video editing(can support adobe premier smoothly)

From my noob understanding, i should be looking for
1)Quad-core i7 or i5 (not sure how much does generation matters?)
2)Good graphic card to handle video editing, 1GB of VRAM or ABOVE (eg; quadro k1100m)
3)8GB ram

Budget: RM1600-2000 (saw Dell M4700 around that price range, any better recommendations?)

It's hard to find local shop that sells older laptop. Most shop are selling only the latest model. Maybe i will try on this forum (albeit risky, could be faulty like you said)

Hi guys,

I was wondering if you guys know any brand which offer International Warranty. This is because I plan to buy the laptop locally and will go to London, UK for the next 3 years for education purposes.
*
updates... dell u can call in to the country u r going to log the case.. if got onsite they will straight arrange.. u only need to transfer nation if u going to extend warranty in different country

example : u bought an import set from USA.. then u r extending it here... then u need transfer nation
