TBH, after so many years, i only bought Asus/Lenovo Laptop, i am kinda biased towards other brand perhaps because when i am young, i uses my Dad's Sony , Mum's Acer and all seems slowwwwww.

Is Acer and HP actually good? I don't have good impression on these brand

I end up bought Asus FX553VD for my dad. Over budget but fulfills his requirement lol. Thx for the suggestion
haha he copied template but i saw he wants slightly different. I can suggest him FX553VD as well with upgraded ram to 16GB

But he likes it because the screen size and lit keyboard. Speed also ok-ok like desktop at home type. No complaints hahaha. Got it for under 3K before GST.

Noted. Just a question, I am bringing that to outstation actually the new laptop. I think onsite warranty will not be there also as they won't come oversea and find me la... hahah

I'm thinking of replacing my aging VAIO, opening up a small sized autoCAD file is taking ages to load, not to mention random crashes here and there

- any size SSD (i already have 1TB external)

- usage include MS office, light video editing, and some light-graphic gaming
