my lil bro bought MSI GL62 the i7 version and he upgraded it + m.2 SSD.

i like the design & the keyboard, overall after a few months no problem.

the only cons for me is TN Panel instead of IPS
*
IPS with faster refresh rate cost a bomb.... no choice to get TN tho

yep, true, but the TN panel is not that bad imo.
battery is non removeable

i5 variant around 3.5k , not sure about the warranty.

i also tempted to go for ILLEGEAR Raven but im gonna wait for Dell 7577 review first.

edit 3.2k basic spec and DOS can be found on lazada.

i was surveying this

do you think its worth it?

seems to fit the purpose though

*
with VR rendering.... this is gonna be hard.. even illegar laguna with i5 + 1060 (minimum for rendering) already 5.8k... but.. since gonna be rendering.. i7 is much better.. the inspiron is just right for u... but VR rendering recommended i think 1070 + i5

btw.. what software u use for VR rendering?

QUOTE(mafioso @ Oct 16 2017, 01:24 AM)
i think quite okay

because i wont be fully focusing on the VR rendering also

just minimal only nod.gif

and yes, those who focuses fully on VR/AR, they have desktop

but the bos ask me to get a laptop instead since what i will do most is coding + just some of VR/AR nod.gif
but that one 8GB only

lel not sure enough or not

plan to ask for upgrade though brows.gif
*
then i believe that dell inspiron able to do most of it.. since ur work more likely use more cpu hyperthreading...

How much need to increased my budget to if no gaming laptop ?
*
there are a lot of laptop that can be use to play games and purposely for work or travel... it just depends what u needs and do the most.
and if u saying 1.5k laptop cant do games... u still can use it to play games.. BUT with low resolution setting... if u dont mind... but this case always happen to university students back then, but i think malaysian university student are very rich.... so, i think 2k min is mostly their budget... unless they dont want spend much and just get 1.5k range...

u need to know.. portability is very expensive.. and thats why.. those laptop is much cheaper compare u building a mini rig (ITX form) is much expensive... it is really portable and its really good.. much powerful than laptop. it just that, you will had extra monitor and more socket when using it

QUOTE(myway1985 @ Nov 12 2017, 07:21 PM)
if non gaming then alot.. becoz intel new uhd chip quite strong.. can play normal game at mid n get 40fps de...  but not PUBG tat type of mad game la...

i would say around 5k a good budget.. but 6 cores laptop come next yr
*
are u asuming everyone play PUBG? sweat.gif
