1. Annual Income: RM130K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Yes / Waived with spending

3. Card required for: All other spending except for Petrol, Dining, Online which I already have cashback from other cards. Rewards on spending in this priority: cashback, earning points for vouchers and air miles. Good points earning rate.

4. Existing credit cards (if any): MBB VS, MBB 2card, PBB VS

5. Interested in CC from: Ambank WMC/VI

6. Others: Airport lounge access for principal and supplementary cardholders

What about MBB VI? I was considering that also.
Ambank VI supp cardholder can get unlimited airport lounge access? What is the fastest way to apply?

MBB are very strict with min. spending per annum to waive the annual fee of RM800

The VI in both are same, just that 2 premier come with another Amex Reserve card

2Premier - 80k per annum

Advantage of M2Premier
VI - 2x TP local spending, 5x TP oversea spending
Amex Reserve - 5x TP on any spending

with 5x TP, it translate to 1 mile per RM 0.954 spending

Issue with Ambank is that local spending & online transaction in foreign currency only earn 1x pts while oversea physical transaction it has similar to MBB earn rate. Other plus points with Ambank

1. PPL unlimited access
2. arguably better exchange rate than MBB

It looks like there is not much incentive to spend with the Ambank VI card. Not bad if they give it free for life with unlimited PPL access including supp cardholders.

I have big spending coming up and I think I might be spending 50k this year. MBB VI seems to give better rewards for this spend and I can get another year free. After that I think I will just cancel if I can't waive the fees.
