1. Annual Income: 150k+

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: either no annual fee or auto waiver on meeting criteria. non-waivable annual fees or manual waiver application is a dealbreaker.

3. Card required for: CASHBACK in my main consideration.
Main Categories of spend
Petrol,
Grocery,
Dining,
Grab,
E wallet,
Utilities,
Insurance
airasia tickets .

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Maybank Amex Platinum (weekend only restriction is becoming a hassle, merchant acceptance is still not as wide as i hope after years of sticking with it)

5. Interested in CC from: RHB shell, CIMB Petronas Inifinite

6. Others: i would prefer to only carry one card out for grocery and dining. the other categories should be able to load up to apps and pay from there.

You can consider adding Maybank VS since it covers your both petrol and grocery

thanks for the recommendation

currently i have shortlisted the following
1. RHB shell (petrol, grocery, e wallet, online, utility, others)
2. CIMB Petronas VI (petrol, grocery, dining)
for consideration/back up
3. Alliance VS (online, grocery, dining, petrol, utility, others)
4. RHB VS (Online, entertainment, shopping, overseas, others)
5. Maybank VS (Petrol, grocery, others)

going to monitor my spending for a few months to see if i can meeting the requirements for the first 2 before adding more.
with 1 and 2 my monthly limits
petrol : 920 for 120 cashback
Grocery : 500 for 30 cashback
Dining : 500 for 30 cashback
utility : 150 for 7.5 cashback (lol)
e wallet/online : 850 for 42.5 cashback
additonal 3500k on others to meet the threshold.

Maybe i will swap out CIMB with Alliance..

r u looking for highest cash back or minimum number of card? also, really depending on your 'other spending'
nevertheless, based on the spending above
utility + e wallet/online: Affin Duo

weekend spending with either MBI Mastercard or HL Wise
weekday spending with UOB One Classic

not sure y u r allergic to card with annual fee
e.g. MBI Mastercard: (CB RM 50 x 12 months - SST RM 25) / RM 12,000 = 4.79%
HL Wise (CB RM 65 x 12 months - SST RM 25 - annual fee RM 98) / RM 12,000 = 5.47%
UOB One Classic (CB RM 40 x 12 months - SST RM 25 - annual fee RM 120) / RM 6,000 = 5.58%

btw, i have never failed to get annual fee waiver from UOB for UOB One Classic/Platinum to-date

thanks for the recommendations!

for affin duo, what do they mean by this?
"Cash back is capped at up to RM50 per month with following Previous Balance in AFFIN DUO Visa Cash Back credit card statement:
- Up to RM50 for card account with previous balance of RM3,000 and above
- Up to RM30 for card account with previous balance of below RM3,000"

if i clear by outstanding end of every month, do i still get to have 50CB?

and can i only take up the CB (Visa) and not the points (mastercard)?

On "allergy to AF", i just dont like the hassle of calling and requesting for a waiver that is up to the goodwill of the bank..
also, the total CB is not that high ..
HL Wise max CB = 60/mo = 720/yr - AF98 - SST 25 = 597/yr
UOB One plat max CB = 60/mon = 720/yr - AF195 - SST25 = 500/yr

compared with
RHB Shell max CB = 100/mo = 1200/yr - SST25 = 1175/yr
CIMB Ptronas VS max CB = 120/mo = 1440/yr - SST25 = 1415/yr
Maybank VS max CB = 88/mo = 1056/yr - SST25 = 1031/yr
RHB VS : max CB = 190/mo = 2280/yr - SST25 = 2255/yr (but 1200 of that is overseas so spending pattern is not that good a match)

i dont mind spend threshold, because i dump random spending into my CC anyways and my month CC bill do hover around the 5-7k region.

i dont get this.. whats the point of increasing the cb% if the max CB stay the same.. might as well get gold instead of plat/infinite...
