QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 16 2017, 12:21 AM) If you can shift your spending to weekends, just apply Maybank2Cards. Use the AmEx card for all your transactions. Enjoy 5% cash back. May I know are you referring to this ? https://ringgitplus.com/en/credit-card/Mayb...-Gold-Card.htmlThank you.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 21 2017, 04:07 PM) Nope unless you are earning RM 36k and below per annum, you can only have two issuing banks' cards. This is as per BNM's regulation. QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 21 2017, 04:21 PM) Alright, noted on that, one more question, may I know when the statement will be sent , it is fixed for each bank at end of the month or we may choose for it ?

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Apr 24 2019, 10:13 AM) Maybank 2 Cards Platinum (Amex + Mastercard) + Maybank FC Barcelona Visa Signature. 3 cards (Total SST RM75) sharing 1 credit limit. Apply at Maybank Card Centre (1U / The Gardens), don't use Maybank Online Card Application. Thank you for the recommendation, may I know why 3 cards instead of either one of these choice ?

I have been using the Maybank 2 Gold/Amex for years and in particular liking their 5% cashback for amex on weekends. My only gripe is that Amex is only accepted in certain establishment.
Is there any other credit card that currently offers better than this? Thanks!

QUOTE(adele123 @ Jan 13 2024, 08:09 PM) Seriously, no. Not without other level of complexity involved. Amex is straightforward in a sense. As long as it is accepted. If you have been using it for years, you would start to build muscle memory of where can accept amex and where cannot. Some popular consideration will be uob one card, affin duo, public islamic visa. I'm looking for even more or the same amount of cashback offered maybe via a Visa/Mastercard that also can be used during the weekday. So in your opinion, this amex is still the best amongst the others?
