Hi all, looking for credit card recommendation for below spending:

1. Annual Income: RM84K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must, but it's okay if got waiver

3. Card required for: List all your needs. AIA 300+, Grabpay 250+, TNB 100+, Unifi 100+, Foodpanda, Groceries (in order of importance smile.gif)

4. Existing credit cards (if any): MBB 2 cards, PBB Visa Signature & Quantum, PBI Visa Platinum, Standard Chartered JOP & Liverpool, RHB Visa Signature & Shell Conventional & Shell Islamic, Affin Duo, AmBank TRUE, Alliance Younique

5. Interested in CC from: Doesn't matter

6. Others: Was looking at MBB FCB, but no cashback for Grabpay reload. Also looked at HSBC Amanah Platinum, unfortunately no cashback for AIA. Looking forward if anyone has a better idea for the above spending?
Thank you in advance.

You already have Affin Duo, why not just autodebit the AIA to it. Card portfolio is good already, if need more can consider PBB Islamic Plat

Hi all, looking for credit cards recommendation for below spending:-

1. Annual Income: RM60-65k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Preferably yes

3. Card required for: Cashback
- transaction > RM250
- grocery
- petrol

4. Existing credit cards (if any):
- PBB Quantum Visa : Paywave >RM30, <RM250 especially grocery
- PBB Quantum Master : e-wallet top-up + online transaction
- Affin Duo : e-wallet top-up + online transaction

5. Interested in CC from:
- Maybank 2 Gold/Platinum
- Maybank Grab
I've tried to apply for them, especially the Maybank 2 cards for a few times but their approval bot won't approve it
Is there alternative that i could opt for?

6. Others:
- Cashback maxed out for PBB Quantum Master [Grab, Touch n Go, Shopee]
- Cashback maxed out for PBB Quantum Visa [Mainly grocery]
- Rarely would maxed out the cashback for Affin Duo tho

7. Question

- Any idea why Maybank would never approve my application?
Is it because of my working experience. My current job is my first job and I only started last December.
Can I go to any maybank branch and apply with them?

- Any card that is good for transaction >RM250, petrol and grocery?
*
Have a look at Maybank Ikhwan Mastercard for petrol and groceries rebate on certains days. Try to contact maybank facebook and try requesting for a application form in pdf for manual fill in.

Thanks for your suggestion!

I have found the form on Maybank site and will e-mail it to maybankcardsales@maybank.com.my
Hope Maybank would give me a green light on that lol .

Just in case Maybank reject my application again, is there other recommendation?
*
I would use affin duo to top-up ewallet then go to shell or buy setel voucher

Hi sifus, I wish to replace my Citi Cashback Platinum.

1. Annual Income: RM98K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: don't mind paying if benefits are good / waivable by calling to CS.

3. Card required for: Insurance, TNG eWallet, Utilities bills. This card should be used whenever my MB2C Plat can't be used.

4. Existing credit cards (if any): MB2C Platinum, Citi Cashback Platinum

5. Interested in CC from: PBB/StanChart/HSBC as I am looking to opening a secondary savings/current account in the future.

6. Others: I may just cancel the Citi Cashback card and just only hold the MB2C. Your recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi sifu

Is Lazada Citiback CC worth getting over PBB MC? I'm not a hardcore Lazada shopper, will only shop during 9.9, 10.10, 11.11, 12.12 sales and occasional flash sales.

Annual fee is not a concern here IF the Citibank CC is actually helping me to save in the long run.

Kindly advise.
*
Go for PBB Quantum Mastercard, gives you 5% cashback for online (including Lazada), so much better than collecting points.

Looking for credit card (with annual fee waiver) for petrol (preferably not tied to a petrol brand) to be used on self service kiosk.

Currently using HLB Wise for petrol but used up quota easily.

Maybank 2 card Amex or Maybank Islamic Mastercard Ikhwan, but they only give cashback on certain days.

Affin duo visa is your answer. Applying several cards at once may be the reason you got rejected. Try again after the cooling period.

The only one I can think of, without going through e-wallet route, is Maybank Barcelona. But that is only for 1% cb cap at RM50 monthly.

Hi, any credit card recommendation for insurance auto debit? Previously using SCB JOP but this months onwards no longer eligible. Other than Affin duo (already max out), is there any card better than FC Barcelona in terms of cashback?

Don't think so.
