Hello people, I am currently a fresh graduate who is looking for a credit card. Trying to manage my own finance and will mainly use this card to pump petrol, food and groceries only.

1. Annual Income: 36k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Preferably but don't mind low annual fee if benefit is good

3. Card required for: Mainly petrol (Weekly and biweekly basis), food and groceries only. Plus I might open a saving account to let my employer bank in money for me.

4. Existing credit cards (if any): non

5. Interested in CC from: any but no CIMB only, prefer easy payment.

6. Others: Is cash back important? Will have very light usage only. Lastly, how many months of payslip needed before I can apply one?

Thanks!

Hi. Would like some recommendations please.

1. Annual Income: RM36K to RM60K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: No

3. Card required for: petrol, bill payment (telco, utility), groceries, AIA insurance

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Nil.

5. Interested in CC from: any

6. Others: monthly expenditure for those listed above is below 2K. So am looking for some cashback or reward points (haven't decided if I prefer cashback/points). So can suggest those more for cashback and also those more for reward points. I need help to narrow down to maybe a list of about 10 or so, then I can research and pick without annual fees, etc. Thank you!

1. Annual Income: RM 90k

2. Annual Fee: Free if possible/waiver

3. Card required for: Petrol, shopping online & dining.

4. Existing credit cards (if any): PBB Quantum & CIMB Cash Back & Maybank Amex+Visa
Currently I am only using the AMEX from Maybank (Visa kinda pointless) and Quantum for dining and others.
CIMB I am going to cancel soon, the cashback 0.2% almost useless

5. Interested in CC from: Any bank

6. Note: I like the AMEX 5% weekend cashback for petrol, I don't really need the Visa but MBB don't let me to only keep one card.
Q: Anything that can replace my PBB Quantum to a single card? Every year I am getting RM125 charges on SST, the cashback all spent on paying these taxes kinda pointless. Wanted to reduce my existing 5 cards to 2-3 if possible. Can I cancel one of the quantum and keep another?
*
Recently, Maybank & PBB allow you to cut off either 1 card of Combo to Avoid the SST. You can Jz call CS request for it...

U may get MBB FCB VS to earn more CB & still can safe
keep MBB 2 Amex , PBB Quamtum MC for your usage.

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Maybank (AMEX/VISA)

5. Interested in CC from: Any bank

6. Others: Planning to cancel all the existing card(s) and only focus on one as my spending power not that high. AMEX is generally okay for me but only cashback during weekend, which puts me off. Will be using it to do auto billing on insurance, pay phone bill, petrol, dining and online purchase (Lzd, GSC, etc) which roughly around 800-1100/month.

MBB FCB VS( Everything), SCB JOP (for Petrol, Online, Auto Billing: Insurance, Ulitiliy, phone bill) PBB Quantum MC (Dinning, Online)

Btw, we can call MBB to cancel Visa/MasterCard of MBB 2cards & jz keep only Amex. Just tell them the reason is SST.

Alright thanks for all the suggestion given and advice.
I am not spending up to rm2500 so Standard Chartered Just-one Platinium doesnt fit into it. Oh does hire purchase consider as monthly figure ?
Not quite sure about the MBB M2 card, looks like the treatpoints doesnt worth if compare to cash back.

Im now choosing between MBB Ikhwan MC and Islamic Petronas. Any suggestions?

1. Annual Income: RM100k to 150k
2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Not necessarily

3. Card required for: Monthly errants, utilities (roughly RM1k or slightly more monthly), insurance and misc. Focus on Cashback, and lesser on points. Online transactions and overseas online purchase too.

4. Existing credit cards : Public Bank Visa signature, Hong Leong Wise, Aeon Big Gold,

5. Interested in CC from: None, but anyone that gives good Cashback and benefit.

6. Others: Mainly to change my credit card collection to max the cashback capability. Aeonbig gold has lost most of its benefit so its really no point. But I wish to find out what other cash back card I can harness the benefit from. So far I have been able to make used of Wise to max the cashback. I believe I can do more. Hence this posting.

Thanks in advance for all the sifu.
