Does anyone know what is the cost of battery replacement for MBA Mid 2012? My current battery life is deteriorating. Is there a cheaper to install DIY way ?

i dont think there is DIY.. if ur gonna try diy better get those tools and battery from ifixit..
https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/MacBook+Air+13...placement/10950 but the best way to change battery is to send ur MBA to apple authorised service centre.. i read plenty reviews on third party battery replacement and even the OWC battery, they does not last as long as the one apple's..
