Too many conditions.

Paying bills snd spending via e-Wallet get better returns.

Well, it is super easy to play ocbc 360 at this moment.
If I have 100k in 360 account, one month interest already exceeds cashback earned from my credit card.
Sorry out of topic.

Hi sifu
Sorry asking a stupid question
For this Bank Islam TDT campaign, the profit rate is OPR+1.5%, let say today (17 May 2023) I place a FD with BI, the profit rate is 4.5%. IF BNM revises OPR to 2.75 after six month later, the profit rate on my FD still remains at 4.5% right?

I did an online fund transfer from another bank a/c (matured FD, roll over rate only 2.85%) in the morning today to my BI saving account. I did have an BI saving a/c with Online Internet ID.

Btw, I did try to do an online placement for BI FD 12 months. Rate given is only 3.10%. So, promptly cancel and head to the BI branch. Teller confirm this 12mth 4.5% is only available OTC.

Hi,
So do you mean you have SA with BI, you just transfer fund from another bank to BI, and you go to BI to place a FD at 4.5% without bringing any cash or cheque as the fund was deducted from your SA?

Hi, I did opened a basic saving account with debit card. Then only registered online banking. I am not sure whether the debit card is compulsory or not to register online banking.

Not necessary, but, advisable because:

1. can view and transact online
2. can withdraw ur FD online upon maturity, no need to go to branch n lose the few days interest in case u cant make it.
3. choose basic saving acc without any fee.

How come you can open bsa with BI without fee? Mine here need to pay annual fee for debit card. According to their fee and charges on deposit account table, need to pay RM8 for ATM charges (BSA option 1 customer with ATM and GIRO facilities). Which branch are you going?

I open online and subsequently go to branch to get passbook only, then, on another visit, i go n asked for debit card issuance after i get to know that we can withdraw the FD online, the staff did mentioned for BSA, card issuance fee is RM12 (one time only), but, ended up they just give me the card without ask me to pay/ charge to my account. But, i remember some sifu here mentioned they did paid for the one time fee of RM12..

I've similar experience where my FPX deposit is failed for the online account opening, hence, need to go to branch to deposit RM20 to complete the registration..

Different branch has different pattern. I have read previous posts, someone needs to pay one time issuance fee for debit card of BI, it is fine. Mine die die want me to pay for annual fee if I want to take debit card. Ended up leave the branch without arguing with them. Cannot register online banking without debit card. Without internet banking cannot check my fd account. So manfande.

Took me 1.5 hours to open BSA and make the FD placement at Bank Muamalat. Will only get cert tomorrow, effective date tomorrow. Staff is courteous but many customers simply butt in to ask for misc stuff and the staff had to attend to them. How do you confirm that you will be getting monthly interest? Shown at the cert or at the online banking?

Any annual fee for debit card?
