But the branch I called just now, only accept up till 11 mths, ie. 2.75%.

Bcos they give interest every month.

If u get 10k interest every month (means principal 3mil), u put the 10k into BI FD assuming Int 4% constant over the next 12 mths).

By the time ur BR FD mature, theoretically u would get 122200 total interest by then, for an effective int rate of 4.07%.

NOTE: the above example ignores the fact that the 11x 10k FDs haven't fully mature.
