Hi Sifus, may I know the effective rate for affinbank fd promo ? lets say the 6 month 3.78% and 18 months 4.1%? Since now my 10k is parked at CIMB eFD conventional rate, if I take out and top up a bit can I request for 4.1% ? I saw someone mention 4.0% if not fresh fund. Which is better ? affin or cimb ? thanks

Hi guys, just wanna check is it legit or not..My 1k FD in Affin for normal board rate was 3.45% last year and this year 3.8% ? Just auto renewed. Is system error or legit ? Because it seems like the best FD % for none promotion rate.

It would be better just put ur fd in affin board rate for 13 months since the board rate for 13 months is already 4.0%. Unless you dont want the hustle.

looking at current fd rate now so few offer more than 4%, still dont know it is good or bad move 3 years back i throw my saving to bsn 4.75% for 5 years, but no compound yearly. still 1 year plus before mature but good thing is i dont need to chase anynore fd promo

3 years back, when the OPR went up 0.25, and now drop back 0.25. so the swing makes the different in fd rate. saw a guy mention about house loan and fd, my house loan is 4.1 for first 2 years then 4.25 the rest of the years because opr went down.

so my bsn fd actually is getting a better rate than my house loan, not many case like this but definitely can happen.

btw 4.75 is for 5 years, i wanted to put 1 year 4.5 but quota full already.. so yea

really ? i didnt know that the branch is actually walking distance from my house but the bank is seriously ancient bank, everything still fill form here there, but if i have to take from head branch then waste my time liao.

btw after 1 year i went back to ask the staff check got interest paid out or not the fella say no and ask me come back after another 4 years.
