hi guys, sorry new to this. currently thinking of putting 10k into FD, is monthly better than 3-6 months?

Did you clarify with them if "Rates are subject to change according to time" applies to quarterly step up roll over too ?
Most commercial banks will not change the promised step up rates of a contracted FD but not sure about BI though.

How long it takes to open FD and Savings a/c at Bank Islam? 

4.65% 2 years FD need savings a/c right?  Did u open for Basic Savings a/c?

Called the banks for Latest update just now:

1) Ambank: 4.4% (12 months), 4.25% (6 months) valid til end of this week

2) Public Bank: 4.28% (12 months), 4.08% (6 months) valid til end of April

Did Bank Islam give you the FD effective date after your check clearance?
Or they gave you FD effective date on the same day when you submitted your check?

1) If I'm not wrong, Ambank 4.4% min amount is 10k.
2) Called Bank rakyat tollfree justnow, according to that person 4.55% is for 60 months with min amount of $500. Maybe someone can help to double chk this info. TQ
