Affin Bank doesn't have any e-fd promotion. Just have over the counter 15 months 4.2 pa or with negotiation 4.3 pa.

Yes, very low. Better to put in BR for 5 years to get 4.55 pa.

Last month I put in OCBC for 4.38 (now only 4.2) and Affin Bank 4.3. They were quite OK.

Not in the paper given by the bank. But it was mentioned by the bank manager only. 4.65.

Monthly normally lower than 3 to 6 months. Can do it online by Maybank2u for the convenient sake.

I'm in Bank Islam now to open saving account. The officer in the counter said the rates are changed according to time means they may change the rates in future. But they will inform. Currently the rate is still remained the same.

Did you clarify with them if "Rates are subject to change according to time" applies to quarterly step up roll over too ?
Most commercial banks will not change the promised step up rates of a contracted FD but not sure about BI though.
*
Sure I will ask them next Tuesday when I transfer my matured fd there from CIMB.

How long it takes to open FD and Savings a/c at Bank Islam?

4.65% 2 years FD need savings a/c right?  Did u open for Basic Savings a/c?
*
I took around 15 minutes to open Akaun Pelaburan Al-Awfar (not the Basic Saving Account) because it has lucky draw. Yes need to have saving account for profit to be credited in it.

Did Bank Islam give you the FD effective date after your check clearance?
Or they gave you FD effective date on the same day when you submitted your check?
*
I transferred from CIMB one day before doing FD in Bank Islam.

For Maybank it's 5k. I think the other banks should be the same.
