QUOTE(Deal Hunter @ Jul 26 2017, 10:11 PM) Good news from Maybank. Previous lower promo replaced with new better promo rate. Strange dont see this on the Maybank2u website... only shows the e-FDI 3.69% promo...IFD-i/FD Ultra 6 6 months 3.9% minimum 10k fresh fund. Promo from 17 July to 17 August 2017. Is it over the counter only (which will suck) |

THe difference in interest for the 3 months is about RM150 only.. QUOTE(cybpsych @ Dec 9 2017, 12:33 PM) Looks good... I'll transfer my $$ over to RHB for this... screw MBB la... |

QUOTE(acougan @ Dec 12 2017, 06:24 PM) Haha, got the same experience at rhb. Place fd otc for 1st time, fill up alot of forms, show mykad, fingerprint, etc for abt 30mins. FInger print, mykad etc is still ok...Place e-fd, use abt 3mins, haha. But I get a bunch of forms, need to know my salary, source of funds, some anti money laundering question, some US related question etc.... forget it.. I move the funds to RHB tonight. Just need a few days cause max transfer is 30k... |

QUOTE(gsc @ Dec 19 2017, 06:38 AM) I dont understand why people wants RHB 3 months FD when Am bank is offfering 4.1% since Nov. Monthly interest if you are above 50. 1. Not keen for long term, 3 to 6 months best optionAm promo till 29 Dec or when reach 2 billions fund size 2. No account with AmBank, not keen on the hassle for 400ish bucks extra interest per year... 3. I've got quite some time to go before being above 50 |

For those who wanted to lock in FD for long period 1yr or above, maybe reconsider.
Global market bubble every where, charts are all grossly overbought... US inflationary pressure, interest rate expected to increase 1998... 2008... 2018... If there is a global meltdown/correction, interest rate are likely to shoot thru the roof, in such a situation being locked down for 1~1.5 yrs FD is something we dont want to do.. |
