I mostly look up on MBB FD rate more because they are more honest in stating the ER properly in the fact sheet.
But now they don't have for peasant people like me...... now they want at least 100k for 4.0 pa. and 250k for 4.28 pa. how the hell I got 100k LOL |

QUOTE(qintian @ Jan 15 2019, 05:10 PM) 4.4% 12 months pure fd clear cut no need to purchase other product. i just placed only.. AVOID PLEASE. DONT FALL TO THE TRAP. ambank having some bundle promotions, whereby you need to put 50% into purchasing bond and 50% into FD for 12 months.. and they are offering 12m 5.3% for the FD.. for me i think this ambank product is good because in anyway, your bond will also have yearly dividend at around 5-6%.. they offering SARA I, SARA II, EQUITY 3 and EQUITY 5... any input for this ambank offer? It's not even bond to begin with. |

Alright 1st thing 1st, who the hell report me.
Next, what I said in the post I all correct. Let me explain First of all this bundle thing should be couple with their fixed price fund - ASM or ASM2. Not FD. The fund mentioned above are giving 6% p.a with no SC at all. But maybe diff bank can have diff offer perhaps? The one they offer based on your explanation is Variable priced fund. they have SC at 3.5% for SARA and 5.0% for EQ. And to make it clear, the one 5% is not bond, its EQ in KLCI. And the 3.5% is only max to 80% of it will invest in bond. Thus, its not purely bond too. To earn back the SC, you must get the total return that is fast enough to cover the SC. If let say in one year they can have 6%pa, you only gain 2+%? And based on the track record, some other fund houses give better return tbh. VP bundle with FD is a big no. Un less VP bundle with FP, well at least something better. This post has been edited by [Ancient]-XinG-: Jan 15 2019, 09:45 PM |
