Just wonder if it's me or DID they 'updated' their promotion regarding about the 4.88% for 6-mth FD rate?
Cause it's no where to be seen on their image now hahaha https://www.hlb.com.my/en/personal-banking/...ning-promo.html |

QUOTE(Cookie101 @ Nov 20 2017, 07:19 PM) That’s from SCB. And it’s not FD. May i know where can I find this info? Is this for anyone? Or do I have to go OTC to inquire? It’s their e-saver account with rate of 2.7% lock in 3 months. Need to be PB. 200k for iPad 600k for iPhone 8 Still waiting amb announce latest promo but RM doesn’t want to entertain. 😓 iPad sounds interesting. |

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Nov 21 2017, 02:25 AM) Why not, knowing more is better than knowing less. I don't mind knowing the extra details hahaah Question now, does it mean FD might increase next year, or they're just prepping for new loans for next fiscal year from the banks xD lol |

QUOTE(touristking @ Nov 27 2017, 08:22 PM) Last I heard they actually reached the 500M cap since 17th Nov, but extended it till the end of Nov because it's way too last minute to stop this deal. I doubt they've ran out of iPad quota yet.But I'm wondering what sort of sh*t could they have possibly ran into that they require so much cash desperately. :/ |

QUOTE(touristking @ Nov 27 2017, 10:08 PM) Well, some time the bank wins and some time the customer benefit Usually it's almost always the bank wins. But yeah! I thought there were some very very fine TnC or hidden ties with things. It's a really good return if you sum up the interest earned and also the value of the items.I was pretty surprised Chartered Bank gave such good offer. RM 200K@3.16% + an ipad worth almost RM 1900 translate to very good return for mere 3 months deposit. I think I saw a quota for iPad which would probably translate to how much money they need. Tier 1 : Interest RM1,979 (RM250,000) + iPad @ RM1800+/- Tier 2 : Interest RM4,750 (RM600,000) + iPhone 8 Plus 64GB (RM3800+/-) / Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (RM3500+/-) Tier 3 : Interest RM11,876 (RM1.5m) + Tag Heuer Aquaracer (RM10k+/-) Tier 4 : Interest RM23,752 (RM3m) + Rolex Explorer II (RM20k+/-) Interesting incentives. |

Random question,
Remember about end of last year SCB had a promotion where you earmark 3-mths of different tiers amount, to get an effective rate of 3.1667% p.a. + a gift (eg, iPhone8/S8 or 2x return ticket Business Class to HK or Aus or Tag Heuer Aquaracer, and the ultimate one was an Explorer II). Anyone gotten their goods yet? lol |

QUOTE(Afterburner1.0 @ Feb 23 2018, 04:58 PM) Noob Question: If i wanna put my money into a new bank for FD purposes, what is the best quickest way to transfer my money from my old bank? Pls advise. Nah, not a dumb question. There are many ways. Assuming you haven't opened a new account. Banker's Cheque or Cash would be the fastest. Cash would allow you to place your FD on that day.If you just open a new account within a few days, then you could IBG or IBTF or RENTAS... Each of these services/methods incurs service charges of course. CASH would be FOC with the acknowledgement of higher risk to yourself. Banker's Cheque 53 cents up to 5~6 ish.. IBG 11 cents IBFT 53cents? RENTAS too much... lol |

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Mar 6 2018, 09:03 PM) For AmBank, my relative has got 4.40% 12 mth FD placed. This one need to get approval from HQ. So can try to talk to the branch or your RM for higher than 4.38% 12 mth rate. UHNWI kind of dealings Heard from Penang OCBC RM that their 4.38% FD promo end tomorrow. So those in Penang one can try or call OCBC before u go there. |

QUOTE(doinkz_gaara @ Apr 4 2018, 08:26 PM) Is it normal that we need two identification now to open a FD account? Bank Islam asked me for IC and license. That's what I called a whole new level or redundancy. Two thumb print verification, i can roughly understand why, but both IC and license? Might've just played along and say you don't drive/ride. lol |
