how much will be after mature ?

QUOTE(Bonescythe @ Sep 6 2017, 11:38 PM)
Interest = 90,000 × 7.88% x 3 ÷ 12

How much u will get = principal + interest
*
To Bone's calculation, you'll get exactly 1773, unless my math failed me LOL.
But agak-agak within 3 months, you should get about 1784.67 plus minus 15 bucks.

so based on what i written on top:

90k @ 7.88% p.a @ 3 Months i only get return about 1.7K ++

my taughts i will get around 7k opon mature after 3 months, meaning 90K x 0.0788

OK I WILL GO FARK MY SELF, THANKS VERY MUCH.
*
Hahaha Chillax man tongue.gif.. you get 7k per year.. "p.a" stands for Per Annum/Per Year. but on the side note. where did you find one that gives 7.88, if you dont mind me asking?

Just wonder if it's me or DID they 'updated' their promotion regarding about the 4.88% for 6-mth FD rate?

Cause it's no where to be seen on their image now hahaha

That’s from SCB. And it’s not FD.
It’s their e-saver account with rate of 2.7% lock in 3 months. Need to be PB.
200k for iPad
600k for iPhone 8

Still waiting amb announce latest promo but RM doesn’t want to entertain. 😓

May i know where can I find this info? Is this for anyone? Or do I have to go OTC to inquire?
iPad sounds interesting.

200k info already given above, you want info for 600k, 1.5m, 3.5m too ?
*
Why not, knowing more is better than knowing less. I don't mind knowing the extra details smile.gif
hahaah
Question now, does it mean FD might increase next year, or they're just prepping for new loans for next fiscal year from the banks xD lol

I thought it's for 4th quarter ending Dec. Or they have run out of ipad quota?
*
Last I heard they actually reached the 500M cap since 17th Nov, but extended it till the end of Nov because it's way too last minute to stop this deal. I doubt they've ran out of iPad quota yet.
But I'm wondering what sort of sh*t could they have possibly ran into that they require so much cash desperately. :/

Well, some time the bank wins and some time the customer benefit  rclxms.gif

I was pretty surprised Chartered Bank gave such good offer. RM 200K@3.16% + an ipad worth almost RM 1900 translate to very good return for mere 3 months deposit.

I think I saw a quota for iPad which would probably translate to how much money they need.
*
Usually it's almost always the bank wins. But yeah! I thought there were some very very fine TnC or hidden ties with things. It's a really good return if you sum up the interest earned and also the value of the items.
Tier 1 : Interest RM1,979 (RM250,000) + iPad @ RM1800+/-
Tier 2 : Interest RM4,750 (RM600,000) + iPhone 8 Plus 64GB (RM3800+/-) / Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (RM3500+/-)
Tier 3 : Interest RM11,876 (RM1.5m) + Tag Heuer Aquaracer (RM10k+/-)
Tier 4 : Interest RM23,752 (RM3m) + Rolex Explorer II (RM20k+/-)

Interesting incentives.

Random question,
Remember about end of last year SCB had a promotion where you earmark 3-mths of different tiers amount, to get an effective rate of 3.1667% p.a. + a gift (eg, iPhone8/S8 or 2x return ticket Business Class to HK or Aus or Tag Heuer Aquaracer, and the ultimate one was an Explorer II).

Anyone gotten their goods yet? lol

Noob Question: If i wanna put my money into a new bank for FD purposes, what is the best quickest way to transfer my money from my old bank? Pls advise.
*
Nah, not a dumb question. There are many ways. Assuming you haven't opened a new account. Banker's Cheque or Cash would be the fastest. Cash would allow you to place your FD on that day.

If you just open a new account within a few days, then you could IBG or IBTF or RENTAS...

Each of these services/methods incurs service charges of course.
CASH would be FOC with the acknowledgement of higher risk to yourself.
Banker's Cheque 53 cents up to 5~6 ish..
IBG 11 cents
IBFT 53cents?
RENTAS too much... lol

For AmBank, my relative has got 4.40% 12 mth FD placed. This one need to get approval from HQ. So can try to talk to the branch or your RM for higher than 4.38% 12 mth rate.  rclxms.gif

Heard from Penang OCBC RM that their 4.38% FD promo end tomorrow. So those in Penang one can try or call OCBC before u go there.  smile.gif

Ya, May and June I have CIMB and Muamalat FD maturing. How we all missed the 4.5%, Muamalat was offering that before lowering it down short time later.

Did Muamalat sent u hamper this year ? It seems their hamper size is related to the FD size ! devil.gif Unlike BR only single size irrespective of the FD size. Though I did not receive any from BR this year due to lower amt there now.  tongue.gif
*
Actually, never received any gifts or hampers before lol. Yet alone angpaus.
How do you get freebies, teach me senpai biggrin.gif

Is it normal that we need two identification now to open a FD account? Bank Islam asked me for IC and license.
*
That's what I called a whole new level or redundancy.
Two thumb print verification, i can roughly understand why, but both IC and license? Might've just played along and say you don't drive/ride. lol
