PB eFixed Deposit 1 Month Tenure Rate: 2.10% p.a
- effective 10 October 2024.
PB eFixed Deposit 1 Month Tenure Rate: 2.30% p.a
- was applicable from 31 May 2024 till 9 October 2024.
Even though there is no change in Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) by Bank Negara Malaysia, somehow Public Bank reduces PB eFixed Deposit 1 Month Tenure Rate from 2.30% p.a, to 2.10% p.a.
It may give the impression that it may be one of many methods used by Public Bank to raise capital to acquire LPI Capital Bhd.
Anyhow, Public Bank customers who have fixed deposit accounts are on losing side. 

Those who have placed Ambank True Saver Account bundle with FD last year. Need advice from you guys.

Said the FD will mature on 25 Oct, can I withdraw FD on the day itself or must wait past 25th?

Will bonus rate on True Saver Account be still given for the month of Oct up till 25th after the FD withdrawal?

But I thought the bonus portion shd also be given if meet the requirements before maturity date like 3k credit and min spending RM1k with debit card. Only after the maturity date the monthly average balance will be zero so bank shd also accounts for us from 1st to 25th Oct. Just my thought la..

I agree. Correct me if I am wrong, but as I understand it from the Truesavers T&C, bonus interest rates are not tied to FD bundling.  So you should also get the bonus rates until end of the month too right if you continue to maintain balances in Truesavers? Just don't close your savings account until the bonus interest is credited!

Ran into a hitch today when I went to Ambank to uplift my Bundled FD with savings account.

I went to another branch thinking that with across-branch banking, everything could be done immediately. Not so.

The FD can be withdrawn immediately at any branch, but immediate upliftment of the hold on the amount in the savings account can only be done at the branch where the FD was originally placed (manual override). Otherwise, the hold will only be released by the system during the system runs overnight, and available for withdrawal the next day.

Today went to Muamalat to open and place FD 12 mth 4.05% with mthly profit.

Got debit card for online account. As I have old acct with them though terminated but they still have the records. Just need to update info if
needed.

Your FD matured this month ? Just curious if they pay the bonus interest on FD maturity date (for True Saver) or later as usual ?

Ya, I also withdraw the TS amt together with the FD and moved them to Muamalat.

But did not see more Chinese in the branch that I went. Maybe because of the min 50k for the promo or because of other reasons.

Got cert same day, effective date same day. Even last Friday when I placed the FD, also eff date same day.

Any annual fee for debit card?

What la, need to go back to ask about those gifts ! Going for another placement next week. 

Today moved fund from MBSB to Muamalat. With BC from MBSB, received cert within 20 minutes with effective date today.

Asked for gifts, got notepad and flask. No more neck fan.
