try to set idling at the T/B .. u see a screw at the side of mouth of the T/B .. adjust it clockwise bit by bit .. it could be your timing is a bit high that's why it maintain then back to normal idling .... try it if still cannot then service your idle valve control ... icon_rolleyes.gif

Bro already done that. idling is ok but when press accelerator at idle the rpm will stay at above 1krpm then only drop to around 600rpm. As what Zniper said, I suspect they put to much gasket paste. Maybe I will ask the mechanic to repaste it again. But Im not sure if this will solve the problem though. hmm.gif Also why must reset ECU?

easy la to reset ECU simon...just cabut ur battery terminal and leave it for about 5 minutes and put it back....any mods/change done in ur intake/exhaust system u must reset ur ECU after that so that the ECU can remap itself back....unless ur using piggyback...hehe

Thanks for the info. Must be the grey paste that is causing the unstable rpm. My car is stock so I dont think I need to reset ECU right?

Cause I saw the way they apply the paste, like no need money like that. And also the paste actually blocking the hole also. MAybe that's the cause. Zniper how did you solve your case before when you encounter this problem?

Simon, remember last time I told you about the knocking sound in my car after I got it back from workshop? It was the idling problem, which is, the rpm stay too low and made the car jerk. My dad brought my car to a nearby workshop to adjust it (free) and now there's no more knocking sound, but still jerk abit because the rpm stays at 400-500 rpm only. sweat.gif

Hahaha, it has nothing to do with your case, but i think it's not hard to solve your problem there with an experienced mechanic. nod.gif

My problem comes only after cleaning the T/B. Oh well, I will send it to workshop and see how it goes. Removing the T/B really takes time. I hope I got time for it though.

Bro Maybe yours can adjust abit higher maybe around 600rpm. knocking sound, maybe it's the piston/valve misfire. Time for a B16 I guess. Again it's a sign. tongue.gif whistling.gif
