It's been a busy weekend for me, covering 2 event on Saturday and Sunday in Penang. Today, along my journey home, just got enough time to pay a visit to Tmn tasik Taiping, Perak for an hour two. My first impression was totally unexpected. It was truly a  magnificent & beautiful lake compared to others I'd visited before.

Luckily for me at THAT time, the weather was perfect, allowing me to capture the beauty of this place with bright blue sky. As you know, when you mention Taiping, you think 'rain', but not this time though. Actually there are a lot of sections that forms the lake, but I only managed to cover 2 sections of it, that is near the MPI tower and near the zoo entrance if you know what I'm talking about.

Definitely I'll come again to this place when I got the chance...

Last Saturday was a hot day, no doubt about it. It was also the weekend of the MotoGP event in Sepang. I've been attending several F1 races, Japan GT, Merdeka Millennium Endurance and AFOS, but this is the first time watching 2-wheels machine live in action. A lot of people say at RM80, it's a bit too expensive to say the least, but it actually depends on how you value THAT money. If you just going to spend an hour or two just watching Valentino Rossi riding around the track, you may very well just stay at home and watch it in front of the 'idiot box'.

But, if you do a little bit more of thinking, at RM80, you'll get to see 2 days of the event (qualifying and race day), not to mention FREE entry on Friday practice, a lot of merchandise booth at discounted rate, endless photographic opportunity, and above all, the ATMOSPHERE of being in a racing environment, the feel of speed, the sound of the machine and a sense of tense surrounding the area. For a true motorsport fan, this IS why you pay RM80 for, but who doesn't, I'm sure tomorrow morning you'll be happy to wear some racing shirt to office.

The Shot of the Day

MotoGP race day on Sunday. Me and Nizar arrived there a few minutes past 12, and the actions has already started. The weather was hot and sunny, perfect for racing action. Before we go straight to the stands, we took some time to wander around the promotion booth, looking for some merchandise and hot chicks. After finished shooting some 'birds', me and Nizar head to the grandstand, hoping to get the best view for the start of the main event, which was the MotoGP premier class category. We found a spot, then throughout the race, we keep switching places back and forth just to make sure we covered possibly all the angles available.

It was a perfect weekend for me and for friends as this was my first experience watching MotoGP live in Sepang!
