All the places that are nice to photograph are all featured in my thread; in KS town there's Bukit Melawati and the Taman Alam. Taman Alam is a bit boring for me coz there're only birds (quite hard to spot, maybe i'm not that observant) and er... plants? Not my cup of tea la, plus with my puny lens what birds can I photograph, lol.

Bukit Melawati is a historical place, all that I can photograph are in my thread already, except Altingburg Fort.

If you wanna go furthur up, you can go Sekinchan for paddy field and Bagan Sekinchan fishing village (which you can get at Pasir Penambang as well).

That's all I think nod.gif

It was always my dream to come back here and record the beauty and the history of this place in still images, to educate the people what this school is all about and why it should be remembered. Established in 1816 by the British, it is the oldest school in South East Asia. Although the present site is not the original site of the school back in 1816, the current site at Jalan Masjid Negeri were installed more than a hundred years ago. This is where I spent 5 glorious years of my life at...

The tower. There's a bell inside the dome, used every Monday morning to call the assembly.

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble but the school is only riding on its past glories. The quality of the education is not as it used to with the number of straight A students dwindling, and losing out to other schools in Penang.

Other than that, nice series on the school. Brings back bittersweet memories.
Er, the toilet still smelly or not, especially the junior's?

thats what i heard too.. the education level has gone down massively after i left the school in 2000, and the headmasters after that also does not know the rich tradition of the place.. and the most annoying thing that has happened is the school badge has become a normal cloth badge instead of the metal badge like in my time there.. very sad to hear of it..
