Hi there and welcome to the Musician's Thread!

First off, it would be a real hassle to get a Floyd Rose fitted into a guitar. You have to take it to a Luthier, get it routed and install it, and even that, your guitar might not take the tension. There are cases where the neck snaps off because it wasn't made for F.Rs.... And if you take it to Tham (our favorite Luthier here....) to get a Les Paul routed for a FR.... he'll chase you out!

Bottomline, if you want a FR guitar, just save up for a low or mid range FR guitar. Ibanez and LTD has a few nice ones out there in the market.

And as for your guitar finish, I'm not really sure where to send it, but I'm sure alot of our other forum members know. Just DON'T do it yourself!
