Please don't get carried away. Sotong made 10 changes from their strongest. This game is essentially Southampton reserves vs Arsenal reserves.

Thankful Southampton decided to field a reserve side as well or it wouldn't have been so easy.

Can rest a bit easier knowing we have scored 3 goals before Redmond and Tadic has a chance to come on in the second half.

Even the Oracle couldn't predict Southampton would similarly make 10 changes to their squad lol

5-0, job done, on to the next round. It was an easy game in the end against an extremely poor Southampton but having said that you can only beat what is in front of you and credit to the lads for getting the job done with style.

Extremely fortunate that Puel decided to rest almost all his first team players after their grueling EFL semi final game against Liverpool in midweek although its a mystery considering they have nothing to play for apart from the domestic Cups unless fatigue was a factor. Not that I'm complaining though!

I hope Wenger will not take the chance with this kind of lineup in the later rounds if we meet more BPL opponents. Could get really ugly against a full fledged, seasoned BPL team.

I standby my opinion that it was a shit lineup and against a full fledged, seasoned BPL team we would've found it much more difficult or knocked out.

Not every BPL team we meet will have a semi final in midweek then rests 10 players like Southampton did. Some seem to have short memory of how a slightly stronger Southampton side manhandled our team of similar strength in the EFL Cup.

I hoped for the best and thankfully we were handed an olive branch with a reserve Southampton and some really positive performances from our lads.

Unchanged lineup from the Swansea match bar Coq in for the suspended Xhaka of course.

Arsenal XI v Watford: Cech, Gabriel, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Coquelin, Ramsey, Iwobi, Ozil, Alexis, Giroud.

welbeck not even in the bench

Wenger has already said in an earlier interview Welbeck is still short to play every 3 days so he won't face Watford.

1st goal Ramsey deflects the ball in to the back of the net and the 2nd Ramsey lost the ball stupidly in midfield that cost us the goal.

Ramsey injured. Hate to say this but could be a blessing in disguise.
